One of these "Masses" will be even be celebrated in a Masonic Temple.
Excerpt from the Press Release:
Everyone is welcome, especially those who no longer feel they have a church they can call home. An invitation is extended to those who feel estranged because of issues regarding clergy sexual abuse, divorce/remarriage, interfaith marriage, birth control, sexual orientation, abortion and disillusionment regarding the approaches of the hierarchy. And all are welcome to worship with us and to share Communion.

"An invitation is extended to those who feel estranged"
Estranged because they live in sin???
Shall we pray: Lord, have mercy on those who have sinned and will sin. Have mercy on all of us sinners who have come short of the Glory of God. Amen!

And all are welcome to worship with us and to share Communion. I'm not entirely clear on what these people will be worshipping ... I suspect some spirit other than the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel ...
Count me out.

HELP! Please. This is an angel weeping. It would be so perfect as a reply. I don't know how to put up cool pictures.

And all are welcome to worship with us and to share Communion. Why would I want to eat filet mignon when it is being served on a trash can lid?

I wouldn't have a problem if this were a service in which the people being invited would hear the Good News of the Lord and be called to turn back to Him.....but I seriously doubt that's what this "service" is about.

If this priest is not legitimate, then you might ask "Where's the beef?" as well.

It could be the site bonny. I tried to post it and couldn't either.

Geocities, aka Yahoo, doesn't allow remote linking of images.

And the reading from today's Mass Readings:
Reading I
Is 41:13-20
I am the LORD, your God,
who grasp your right hand;
It is I who say to you, "Fear not,
I will help you."
Fear not, O worm Jacob,
O maggot Israel;
I will help you, says the LORD;
your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
I will make of you a threshing sledge,
sharp, new, and double-edged,
To thresh the mountains and crush them,
to make the hills like chaff.
When you winnow them, the wind shall carry them off
and the storm shall scatter them.
But you shall rejoice in the LORD,
and glory in the Holy One of Israel.
The afflicted and the needy seek water in vain,
their tongues are parched with thirst.
I, the LORD, will answer them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
I will open up rivers on the bare heights,
and fountains in the broad valleys;
I will turn the desert into a marshland,
and the dry ground into springs of water.
I will plant in the desert the cedar,
acacia, myrtle, and olive;
I will set in the wasteland the cypress,
together with the plane tree and the pine,
That all may see and know,
observe and understand,
That the hand of the LORD has done this,
the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Let's see. That means those who want to feel comfortable breaking the first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth comandments...(Catholic style of counting commandments)
Guess I'm left out...I'm a sinner, but try to repent when I break all those rules.
