This is the letter written by Terri's friend Kathy to the St. Petersburg times. I have been in contact with Kathy and she confirmed that she did write the letter, and several others, but that the paper chose NOT to publish it. I have encouraged Kathy and her friend Dee to join us here at FR and I will send them the link to this thread and others about Terri, so please post your personal messages to Kathy as well. She lives in the area and has been trying get someone to listen to her for a long time. I assured her that she, and Terri, have many friends here and also that we have a huge readership so it would at least be seen and circulated by a lot of people.

Dear Mr. Levesque,

I am sure that you wrote your article on Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo in what you believed was the truth. However, I can stay quiet no longer.

It is a proven fact that Mr. Schiavo had at least one affair and fathered an illegitimate child while still married to Terri before she was injured,

He is paying child support. Since her injuries, it is also a proven fact that he has been with numerous women one with whom he now has one child with another on the way.

No one has investigated nor seems to even care that the night that this happened to Terri they had had a huge fight. She had confided to family members and friends that he had become abusive and controlling. She was advised not to go home that night but to spend the night with a girlfriend but she went home. Hours later he called Bob Schindler saying Terri was on the floor hurt. He did not call 911 first.

There are medical records that sustain the fact that Terri suffered multiple broken bones that night and came to the hospital with a rigid neck. I have all that info if you are interested and would be happy to send to you.

To say that Mr. Schiavo loves Terri is nonsense.

He lost the ability to say "my wife" with any credence a very long time ago.

I wish that just one person would print the truth about this guy. I truly believe that the only reason he wants her dead so much is because he never wants her to come out of this and point the finger at him for battering her almost to death. He wants to finish what he started that night.

You probably won't investigate any of this. No one seems to care what happened to Terri but at least I know I have tried.

I read this and got so excited because it looked like something full of verifiable facts--and get to the end and it says LAST NAME DELETED.

I'm sorry, but that just isn't going to fly with the people who have managed to stay on the fence with this. It looks made-up.

We need a "SMOKING GUN" type file of primary documents. Child support orders for that alleged first illegitimate child. And someone willing to put her name on the allegation of a fight. Otherwise it looks like lies.

I BELIEVE it myself but I cannot see this persuading anyone who doesn't already believe.

Tell your friends that what Terri needs is primary documents that a court can't rule inadmissable....not unsigned letters with unproven allegations.

But also tell her that Terri DOES have friends here.

I'd put down my life to get her assistive communications technologies so she can tell us what SHE wants to have done, and I'd support whatever HER choice was on that.

Hi, I have also been in email contact with Kathy and she confirmed to me that she did indeed write that letter. She also confirmed that Michael Schiavo has a teenage kid that he fathered from another woman while being married to Terri. Also, on the night that Terri collapsed, there was a huge fight between them and Terri had been advised to NOT go home but unfortunately she did go home to him and now, 13 years later, the truth of what happened to her that night may not have come out yet. My opinion is that Michael Schavio has a lot more to answer about that night.

This is exactly what I was saying we needed. Hello Sean Hannity.. please interview this person on your show. E-mail Sean and tell him you are a freeper, and that this is a big issue with the freeps.. I am sure he already knows that, and see if it gets you anywhere. Ask him , beg him plead with him. He is friendly to freepers, he has been supportive to Terri's family. I will email him as well. LEts start a campaign to see the friends and family of Terri. Let's give her name a face.

Maybe someone can track down the alleged paternity suit/child support business while they were still married, if this is true.

You know, these newspapers are afraid of liability and may be helping to suppress unsavory aspects of this case.

Is there some way this can be investigated in Washington?

If there was abuse, something should be done about it. It would be so hard to prove so many years after-the-fact.

Court documents could be researched. Is this teenage child living in Florida?

Also, if he is hiding more of his assets, it is not just medicaid whom he is defrauding, probably Social Security and the mother of this teenager. She has a right to have a fair amount of support based on his REAL income. Why hasn't she come forward, especially if she and her child are the reason Terri and Schiavo were fighting?

She needs to come forward and help the Schindlers.

Kathy's statements are valuable, but they need to be followed-up on.

The media has shown no interest in investigating any of what's in Kathy's letter. Editorials I've read are all supportive of Mr. Schiavo. What's the media's agenda?
