Bob Brownstein, the brains behind much of the local labor establishment's political agenda, says he has already lined up $30,000 to recall Schwarzenegger, and "I think I can get to $50,000, no problem."How much more proof do we need that Democrats can't do real math?

"How childish. Tit-for-tat makes an adult look so bad."BWAHAHAHHAHAHA....great way of putting it. That's what the left is always accusing Israel of doing to Pali terrorists. Thank you.

I heard it was closer to 70 percent. All the early returns had it at close to 70 percent. How did the number drop like that? Fuzzy rounding?

$50,000?
Does he not realize it took nearly $2 million to recall davis?
Typical liberal stupidity. Absolutely agree ... however, that's not the half of it. Even if they get a liberal donor of $2M, the recall was well on it's way before the money really mattered.
Being somewhat experienced in doing initiatives in California, the "groundswell" that was very active prior to the money coming in was much more important than the funds themselves.

>>"Do it, lefties, do it!"
I agree. All he'll get is a huge groan from Californians and embarrass Democrats.<<
Bigger than that, the thinking here (the REAL thinking -- by the ones who knew how the recall would go and were for it), is that if they try to recall Arnold, it may mark the end of the Democrat majority here in Kalif for a generation or more. The electorate is pissed (still) and it ill behooves anyone to kick a dog that has already bitten once.
One can imagine the shock waves if Kalif goes Republican. It could influence American politics for the next 50 years.

This is pure posturing, all noise and fury, signifying...nothing. AS won't even be the Guv for another month. One would think that they should at least wait until he crosses the threshold of the office before screaming recall. I hope my former state's citizens realize what total boobs these guys are and treat them accordingly at the polls. I think a goodly portion of them will.

"One can imagine the shock waves if Kalif goes Republican. It could influence American politics for the next 50 years"It might wind up being even bigger than that. In Germany, voters are hollaring that they want an Arnie, they would have elected him if he'd run there. In the former Soviet republic og Goergia, they want to name a mountain after him, but only if he comes to visit them. This is fascinating. I hope he's up to this. He's captured the political imagination of the world. The LA Slimes will do it's level best to politically ruin him, of course. But he he governs well...there is nothing the Propaganda Machine can seriously do to damage him.

Ideally, the ex-chief of staff to former San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer says, the recall would go on the presidential ballot in November 2004.Oh, yes, that would be ideal. Please do it. Let McAuliffe, the clintoons and all of the Dem money be focussed on getting Arnold recalled.
That should be good for a shoo-in for Bush, another 5 Senate seats, maybe 20 House seats, and a governor or two.
Sure goes to prove that the people who control the Dem party (the clintoons) are the smartest people in the world. That is, if their intention really is to make the Dems a protected species. They'll be close to extinct if this happens.

This is great......like the democrat mini movements to impeach Bush....they are reaching pathetic lows.....I'm savoring it.

Any money that goes to this doomed to fail cause is money that does not go to a Rat candidate. Too bad, Kucinich could have used the dough!
