RocketMan won the Bud Pole again, his 8th pole this year, and he did it without stretching fuel mileage and he set a track record to boot. :-)

The car is a 3 year old ARCA car, btw. :-\

I don't know much about NASCAR but Ward Burton is my son's favorite -- would Ward have the same CAT sponsor next year when he changes teams, or will that change too? Thanks --

No, Caterpillar will stay with Bill Davis and be the sponsor for Scott Wimmer in the #22 car. Ward's sponsor will be Net Zero.

Too bad too, since my husband is also a fan of Ward and has a lot of CAT gear and diecasts. Oh well...

I can't believe I missed qualifying. : (

Go Ryan (Not a cheater) I have to give Jimmy Spencer credit. On one of the Speed Channel shows he said that he was tired of the drivers talking about each other like they do.

I personally call it whining when they lose.

I missed the qualifying today because I was helping Arnold balance the budget. (I was at the local Indian casino losing money at the black jack tables)

Don't know what to think about Ward changing teams at this time...

Thanks for the info. My son has been a construction nut since he was a toddler and he is crazy about all the CAT stuff. He will be really sorry Ward's no longer the CAT driver.

Thanks for the reminder!

I'm really looking forward to seeing that Victory Lap ceremony honoring Dale Earnhardt (& Jeff Gordon).

The black #3 car will be brought back out on the track again. Should be an emotional time.

I need to remember this time that the race is Saturday night :-)

I hope they change the scoring system next year ... 8 wins and 8 poles, and not much of a chance at the Cup, whattajoke.
