WOULD YOU NOT TARRY WITH ME ONE HOUR?
Posted on 10/09/2003 3:37:25 PM PDT by PrepareToLeave
I'm not sure how long it will take me to get to Clearwater, but God willing I'll be at The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL sometime Saturday morning to pray. Just one to stand with me for God and Terri and we'd have the agreement we need for a "mighty intervention". Listen.....do you hear a call?

on way home. thank you for prayers. not participating in any rallys today, because patients roam the grounds and i would not want to frighten them. God Bless you.

I made a lovely sign with flower stickers on it with Governor Bush's phone number on it. It really wasn't "scary" at all.
I don't want anyone here to get the impression that floriduh voter or other Florida freepers are over the top. We've quite subdued at events.
Anyway, it's raining today, Sunday. Someone, please keep in touch if you are doing something Monday or Tuesday. I do not freep alone for safety reasons. Fregards, FV

Have a safe trip. I'm sorry you felt that a wave campaign would be scary or frightening. I'll sit today out. I couldn't do anything yesterday because my mom was in the ER all day. She's okay, some neuropathy caused severe pain.

Well I'm here and a pray said. I guess I'm an hour late though.. Forgot about "eastern time" :')
To: Republic
Well, we spoke by phone and I shared some local background with Preparetoleave and she shared with me the layout of the properties.
It appears there is tension in the air at Hospice of the Suncoast, Pinellas, the largest Hospice in the world.
I'll be praying more than typing. It is truly up to God and hopefully, he'll guide Governor Bush to step up to the plate again for Terri. She needs an emergency special session. I'd settle for an emergency phone conference called by the Governor with the legislature. I think worldwide Jeb could arrange that, if only he would.

Is the part where Terri is kept at 300 East Bay? Or is that a different property? I'm just curious. My sister used to live very near there about 2 years ago, so I am somewhat familiar with the area.

Gee, if only we could stir um up.
But I'm not sure if we should do the "stirrin" online, where the opposition can ready a rebuttal in court. Not sure that it would work, anyway, but it's worth a try.

The administrative offices are at 300 East Bay. PreparetoLeave went to the admin offices yesterday and also went by the Hospice facility where Terri is. Apparently, it's like a campus.

A computer at last! Found a hotel in Louisiana with internet access.
My first stop was to pray at 300 E Bay where I thought Terri was. I prayed around the building from the sidewalk and then around the building itself. I'm a prayer warrior, intercessor, and a strong believer in annointing oil. I suspect God's hand is pressing in even now. Someone came out and I told her I had come that day just to pray for the people and she said that was great. When I went inside, I asked if there was anyone who needed a visit or a prayer and was told that it was their policy to use only their own volunteers but "thanked" me. I couldn't just leave without pressing it. I asked one of the receptionists if the Schlinder's were here and was told there was "no Schlinders here", I said you know, Terri Schiavo's parents. I had just revealed my hand big time.
After another NO, I gathered up their printed info and walked out to the parking lot. A lady was driving out, I stopped her and asked if she worked there. She said yes and told me that these were just offices and that the patients were kept at another facility. I told her that I had come to pray for Terri Schiavo, she didn't seem upset and gave me some bits and pieces as to where she thought it was and left.
Two more employees came out the door and I asked them where I could find the hospital facility and they were very suspicious (SOP I suspect). Asked me if I had family there, why I wanted to go there, I said that I had family in FL (my mother's in FL) and that I wanted to looked at the facility so as they started to give directions, another woman bursts through the main door and practically runs to our gathering. She tells me that I cannot go to their hospital facility without an appointment. I headed for the car with the 3 of them wispering and gawking. I must admit, I gawked back. In retrospect, this may be their privacy policy for the patient's benefit???
Had to settle myself down and I had my son post briefly what had happened. I then began to look for the hospital. I wasn't sure I had the right place, but I spoke to a very kind couple that I was looking for the hospital where Terri was so that I could pray. They really encouraged me and said that she definately was there and that the chapel was at the end of the building. "You go pray" she said.
My intention at this point was to go to the chapel and pray until I was done praying and then leave, period. But after finding both outside doors locked, I walked back to the fron parking lot.
There were two woman talking to each other and I asked them how I could get to the chapel (really didn't relish the thought of going through the front door). I mentioned Terri and they did not realize she was there. Anyway they told me to go through the lobby and they would show me to the chapel. I asked them will they let anyone pray? and they said yes.
My feet took me inside! To me this was a victory in and of itself. The volunteers were very nice, asked me to sign in and made me a visitor tag.
That very instant the Director of the Hospice Hospital was in front of me. The questions started all over again. I told here why I was there and she said I could not use their chapel to pray for Terri. I said that she had been told I was coming which she denied. I said you mean I can't go in there just to pray? It was a much longer conversation than I can even remember but she did say that because of legalities, I could not go in. I said "So now it's illegal to pray?" she encourages prayer, blah, blah.
She said that only a certain number of people could be on the property at one time for Terri.
I said I wanted her name. She gave me her card and told me that someone elso could maybe help me and showed me a number on her card to call. She said that this man was in charge of all of Terri's inquiries and would give me the name of Terri's attorney.
I went back out to the parking lot happy to see the same two women talking. I told them that I wanted them to know that they refused to let me use the chapel to pray for Terri and that was the kind of hospital they were visiting today. They were dumbfounded.
I sat down on a bench (thought I'd make the call right there) and was connected to 300 E Bay. I knew right then it was a total waste. I told them that I was sorry and didn't mean to cause trouble and that I had just come to pray, she started screaming that my dishonesty in obtaining the hospital address didn't help matters, I retorted with the question "what's the matter with you people, are you afraid of prayer?" She said she was highly offended and hung up.
I figured I had caused enough uproar for one day. As I was walking out I saw a hospital employee pushing one of the patients, a beautiful older lady in a pretty pink dress. I went to her, touched her hand and told her that God loved her and how pretty she looked. She smiled and said "I know, God's children are beautiful inside and out!"
I went around to get to my car and saw that the Director had been out there scoping it out. She made a hasty retreat when she saw me coming.
I was furious and a little fearful.
It was a great respit talking to FV on the phone who has a huge heart for Terri.
But don't we all? God please help her.

some one in the hotel needs this computer. good night.
To: PrepareToLeave
You could have honestly told her your sister was there :'). Funny. You seemed to take then by surprise. I would have though that protesters would be routine to them by now.
To: PrepareToLeave
Wow! I'm sure Michael has heard all about it by now. God bless you, Prepare, and safe journey back home! Thanks for checking in and relaying your visit!
