Meeting cancelled, I have returned.

I would like to debate two subjects that I noticed DU people lying about on a pretty constant basis.

1. Mission Accomplished: The truth.

2. Imminent Threat: What Bush really said.

Every time I see these issues brought up on DU, they are twisted and lied about. I will provide the facts behind both issues, and I defy you or anyone to prove them wrong.

If you want, and the owner of this web site agrees, I will start an independant thread for the debate. You can invite your friends.

Don't forget!! Midnight of election night, everyone is going to un-mask. I have a couple new IDs set up for furture use though. I signed on to one of those cheapie ISP's for a couple months and established a new account every week or so. Best dog gone 20 bucks I've spent in a long time.

You have to be careful and clear your cookie file before each attempt and it's not foolproof since their mods can read some sort of number that is unique to each computer but I work in a computer shop and there are always machines I can use for sign up.

I bet they will shut down registrations before the elections so if you are going to set up accounts, don't wait until the last minute!

The next most logical move for the Dims is to have the 9th circus declare that Californians are just too stupid to vote, so all elected offices will hereafter be appointed by the court.

With all due respect, why do other threads about DU get pulled, but not this one? Why can we talk about Rush making fun of DU, but we can't have a thread making fun of it ourselves?

Last night a DU thread was pulled. What's the rationale for not pulling this one?

So, the problem is that DU bans for dissenting viewpoints? I hate to say this, but FR definitely boots those that are accused of having a Liberal bias.

The difference is that DU only allows the far left view points and does not even allow moderate or left leaning view points of the democrat party. There is no argument allowed of differing liberal viewpoints. Watch them deal with their own when a democrat questions some grand liberal logic at the site.

Freerepublic incompasses everything from the religious conservative Republican to the Rhino(liberal Republican) to the Libertarian and anything inbetween. There is free discussion of conservative view points with serious arguments to flame wars(in the past). We have even been know to nicely tell a liberal why they are wrong with facts when they have posted a question or comment in a nice fashion, and then tell the person the site is for conservative discussion. Flamers get quickly zotted at both sites.

There is a huge difference in the 2 sites if you take a week to spend time at both. One site freely discusses conservative values and ideas with rarely everybody in agreement. The other demands all thought be the same no dissent allowed or you are banned, at least in the time I have spent over there(it might have changed lately, but I doubt it).
