I figured out last night my polling place got moved across the street from my favorite doughnut shop, so I'll be early.

This could be the day we take California back. Make no mistake, if Arnold wins, it will be nothing short of revolutionary. :) I'm gonna head over early to the local high school to cast my vote.

I would love, just love, to see Arnold and Tom finish 1-2.

On the other hand, it may be a clever move by your local election officials. The strong law enforcement presence will be a guarantee against voter fraud, pushing or shoving or general unruliness.

Its 7 oclock, folks, lets get this thing over with.

To: Sabertooth; All
Good Morning, Folks and FReepers, from the perimeter on the War on Terror.

It's good to see that the rights to vote and speak, which my bretheren under arms are guaranteeing you, are being used today, in CA and across the land.

I only hope that people realize a few things today:

1. Today's vote is NOT THE END. The vote must be certified, then challenged in local courts, state courts, 9th Circuit Appeals, the CA Supremes, then SCOTUS, before the vote is final;

2. The Socialists have decided to pull all the stops. Local precincts and CA FReepers must be watchful for overt vote fraud, misinformation efforts from state and national media, and foreign factions (DNC, AFL-CIO thugs, etc.) exerting strong-arm acts upon you;

3. I sincerely hope that, for one brief shining moment, conservatives and Republicans alike would display that monolithic unity that Socialists have always displayed, and we never seem to do, and concentrate on a single goal: RECALL DAVIS. Can we not be together on at least this one thing?

4. Incrementalism has succeeded for the Socialists beyond their wildest fantasies. Perhaps it's past time for us to do the same. Most FReepers have said that, if you don't live in CA, you have no businees on the recall threads. I disagree. If the old phrase, "As CA goes, so goes the nation" still applies, then what you brave souls do there today will impact on us all, everywhere.

I hope to see a big "YES!" on the recall decision, and fervently hope that, whoever is the next Governor, has an "R" behind his title. Lee us get Step One out of the way first.

Good Luck, Californians, and Good Hunting!

Polls are the busiest I have ever seen. There were 10 people in front of me waiting to vote, most I have ever seen was 1 or 2.

This is the order of the list for Governor on the Calif State Election site.

[If this the order of candidates on a typical ballot, it is going to take voters a long time to find their candidate on the ballot. This is going to be a nightmare.]

I was number 3 at my polling place. The ballot is so big that they are using file folders for "secret envelope", and the ballots have to slide into a slot cut into the ballot box.

At least one vote for recall.

Regarding the NYTimes "correction," Arnold should have printed up a phoney NYT front page with

WE LIED ABOUT ARNOLD!!!

..... As the headline. Arnold should have held it up, a la Truman at every stop. Maybe he can do it at tonight's victory acceptance

Law school tuition in the 70s ...$50,000

Having the last vestage of your credibility as an advocate destroyed in 5 minutes by a radio talk show host and a phone call by someone who was there exposing your client as a liar....

priceless!
