Good Morning, Folks and FReepers, from the perimeter on the War on Terror.

It's good to see that the rights to vote and speak, which my bretheren under arms are guaranteeing you, are being used today, in CA and across the land.

I only hope that people realize a few things today:

1. Today's vote is NOT THE END. The vote must be certified, then challenged in local courts, state courts, 9th Circuit Appeals, the CA Supremes, then SCOTUS, before the vote is final;

2. The Socialists have decided to pull all the stops. Local precincts and CA FReepers must be watchful for overt vote fraud, misinformation efforts from state and national media, and foreign factions (DNC, AFL-CIO thugs, etc.) exerting strong-arm acts upon you;

3. I sincerely hope that, for one brief shining moment, conservatives and Republicans alike would display that monolithic unity that Socialists have always displayed, and we never seem to do, and concentrate on a single goal: RECALL DAVIS. Can we not be together on at least this one thing?

4. Incrementalism has succeeded for the Socialists beyond their wildest fantasies. Perhaps it's past time for us to do the same. Most FReepers have said that, if you don't live in CA, you have no businees on the recall threads. I disagree. If the old phrase, "As CA goes, so goes the nation" still applies, then what you brave souls do there today will impact on us all, everywhere.

I hope to see a big "YES!" on the recall decision, and fervently hope that, whoever is the next Governor, has an "R" behind his title. Lee us get Step One out of the way first.

Good Luck, Californians, and Good Hunting!

SARGE

I voted this morning. Turnout at my place is moderately heavy for 7 AM. It usually is light in most election years I've been there but its different this time. Its probably to the special once in a lifetime circumstance surrounding a statewide recall election for the Governor, the first in California political history. For the record, I voted "YES" to have Gray Davis recalled and I voted for Arnold. I voted "NO" on Prop. 53 and "YES" on Prop. 54. I think what I'm seeing augurs well if its the pattern across the state today. No doubt other California Freepers will let us know just how similar its in their areas to mine. Again, LET'S ROLL!!!
