From a person who lives in the Midwest, what in the heck is a Cambodian doughnut?
Back in the late 70s, when the first Cambodians were coming into CA from the killing fields, one of them got work in a doughnut shop down in Orange County. He opened his own shop somehow within a year, and did well. So word spread throughout the Cambodian community, and donghnut shops became their route to middle class success. Seems like half the doughnut shops around in SoCal are Cambodian family owned, and they're generally very meticulous about their product. Very fluffy and light, not greasy, and they taste fresh all day long.

MMMmmmmmm....Krispy Kremes..
Damn straight. Just got to remember, eat with one hand and click with the other. That glazing is so thick, it's like pine sap when it cools, and it can ruin a perfectly good mouse.

One element that FoxNews was reporting this morning makes this election one of concern: Over 1 million mailed out absentee ballots have not been received back at the state office.
That is a significantly large quantity.

Since the media is predicting up to four weeks before the final results are certified, this could be a looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggg thread.

I don't want to make everybody ill at breakfast time, but the legal challenge is gathering steam! http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2003/09/25/question_form.txt
This form looks like it could use a hearty dose of Freeping. Did I encounter voting problems today? Hell yes I am...I can only vote Yes on Recall 1 time....even though I pay enough taxes so that 10 illegal immigrants can mooch off the system, have healthcare, get a new driver licese and now go to community college free.

*much laughter ensues*
I got to see her up close yesterday, having shaken her hand at the San Bernardino rally. (Let me say, also, that I have come to the conclusion that anyone with Kennedy blood has now bred their hands to be cool and not in the slightest bit sweaty when they press hands with the public...)
She's not as bad when you can see her without the mega-spotlights on her. I swear, those things were horrible - it was plenty bright enough without them trying to make Arnold and Co. glow in the dark!

How interesting! I love stories about American success and the twists and turns immigrants take to make it here!
Here is an oddity for you from Indiana. Down in the southern part of the state, in Evansville, they have a really good barbecue. All the restaurants serve it with rye bread and onion, however, because of the German settlers along the river.

Extra loooooooooooooong. And watch out for the Nine Circus Clowns. To paraphrase our Once And Future Governator, "they'll be back." Its just a feeling.

Those absentee ballots are probably in storage some place. And they were all probably votes for "yes" on the recall.

OMG - the car ads!! For some reason there are 10 times the number of car ads here in OK than there are in the Bay Area. (Okay - maybe 10 times is exaggerated - but there are a lot more.)

I am so sick of you self righteous Jerry Farwell Republicans. Whats immoral ? Stuff a sock in it silly n00b, I don't like "Farwell" (sic). Immoral = admitting to groping women when you're married to someone who's trusting you.

I am still convinced that Davis thinks he can steal this thing. I am hoping I am wrong.
Turnout is the key! We MUST win this!
