My sister out west has one of these (Capresso Machine). Grinds and brews automatically and makes a nice cup. Maybe someday I'll upgrade!

I read that generally 85% of the absentee ballots are returned.

On what date are the votes certified?

Down in the southern part of the state, in Evansville, they have a really good barbecue. All the restaurants serve it with rye bread and onion, however, because of the German settlers along the river.

Sounds tastey. We don't hear that much about Germantowns, at least not anymore, in CA. I know Fresno has one, or did.

Exactly. If the turnout is gonna be heavy, its a good sign.

Of course, any "results" will not be broadcast, probably until the polls close in California.

Unless, of course, your Drudge..........

I thought he groped before he was married? I guess I missed that part, huh? Well, I'll say one thing for him; he openly admitted it and apologized. Could it be he is setting a trend for honest politics in California?

Tom, you are already voting in both states. Your votes are appreciated and handled well.

Over 1 million mailed out absentee ballots have not been received back at the state office.

Keep in mind the strangeness of this election, and that a lot of folks have been sitting on their absentee ballots until the last minute.

Arnold is a RINO.

That should be obvious by now. I thought it was quite telling in the clip I seen of of him this morning on the news, campaigning yesterday. Some woman had made a sign that said "Democratic Women LOVE Shwarzenegger". She was standing very near to him, and Arnold took and lifted the sign up to gain much applause from the crowd.

At least Arnold isn't alienating his base.

As a sidebar, would somebody in the Golden State get an IV into Maria?

I've seen her at a couple of campaign appearances. She doesn't need an IV, she needs a cheeseburger.

Of course, we could be seeing the effect of all the ridiculous attacks on her husband by her family's political party and her journalism profession. The experience must have been an eye-opener for her.

I certainly would agree that defeat_the_left argument has merit. I was simply pointing out a few facts to knarl at the "pop-Republican" chatterers.

"Sharp" (as you put it) or "clever" is a good way to put Ahnuld's intelect. "Wise" or "thoughtful" is not. Someone once told me that the "clever" man knows how to get out of the mud once he's in, the "wise" man knows how to stay out in the the first place.

The news outlets called FL so the party I was at broke up pretty quick after that. Then my dad call me on the cell phone and says they pulled FL back off the count. I was up until nearly 3 am waiting for Goron to concede. We allknow what happened there. Since CA is a mandatory componenet of the DEMS presidential hopes next year, I fear this will get very ugly. An ACLU/9th Circus thrown in with the prerequisite free big screen riots makes me glad I did stock up on certain supplies before Y2k.

Enjoy, Saber!

Keep an eye on that polling place, though. No one is going to get away with any shenanigans while a FReeper is watching the store!

I hope all Californians vote "YES" and then for whoever they think is the best candidate. DUMP DAVIS!

Your Humble Servant...

Quite possible. The people we read about in those ancient stories were "honest" about their worship of the golden calf. Didn't do them any good though.

Probaly many are for folks who (wisely) waited until today, and will vote at their polling place.

900,000 of the million are in DEM hands for stuffing the ballot box after the first count.
