I figured you'd do that and the LA Slimes crap probably made it easier than it would have been didn't it?

I can't remember such blatant partisanship by a news org in my life and that's saying something since they almost always trumpet the Dem.

I think this backfired for Mulholland and company bigtime.

Warning San Bernadino County voters:

San Bernadino County will NOT be using punch card ballots for this election. Instead they used an optical balloting system where you draw a line across a broken arrow next to the vote you want to place.

I returned from voting (Yes/Arnie). I didn't much care for the optical system and was even more disturbed that the county is moving to a touch screen system. As a software engineer that does a lot of work for state government I can say with some certainity that touchscreen systems that do not generate paper ballots are an EXTREMELY bad idea, and could easily subject the voting process to fraud and software errors.

I suggest we contact the San Bernadino County election supervisiors ASAP to voice our displeasure.

I had to wait in line in South San Jose. This is the first time I have ever had to wait to vote. The people working said it's been busy all morning.

Definitely a high voter turnout!!!

don't forget to let your Democratic co-workers know that since there is a high turnout expected, Democrats are supposed to vote on Wednesday, Oct 8th.

An unreported irony here is that high tech voting has been proven to have around the same margin of error (around 3%) as the old punch cards or pencil-in ballots.

I agree that software manipulation is a a scary thought in ATM style voting. There needs to be a written verification at least.

Captain PBear and I just voted in our regular precinct in our community. We vote in every election and have never seen more than a couple of people at the polling place at a time.

There were a dozen people in line and I saw at least five people voting with 'provisional ballots'. Husband and I concurred that this is probably a tactic for both fraud and to slow down the count.

Anybody else seen anything odd?

LOL. No room for her there. Arnold basically said thanks and hopped in his Yukon and drove off.

At my polling place (which was also jammed) I saw what seemed to be an unusually high number of people voting "provisionally," too. At least they had to fill out a particular form in order to vote. In previous elections, I've noticed that when there is some problem and people ask for provisional ballots, the poll workers just give them an ordinary ballot and mutter something about "keeping them aside to check later." Now, that's scary!

I just had this image of Arianna laying in wait for Arnold and Maria, elbowing herself to the front of the media scrum, knocking over mikes, photogs, a wall or two....

I made no pro-Bustamante or pro-Democrat comments.

I'd asked you to take it back but one would need to have integrity or honesty to do such and I know those are qualities you lack.

Hear me, Donnie?
