Hi,
I'd like to submit: "Hi, I was too stupid to figure out how to vote. Please put me down for FDR"
But I'm at work so I don't want the "paper" trail.

Having the last vestage of your credibility as an advocate destroyed in 5 minutes by a radio talk show host and a phone call by someone who was
there exposing your client as a
liar....
priceless!
For those who want taxes, taxes, taxes ... there's Davis and Allred.

Days like this I wish I had a capture card. KTTV (Fox 11 LA/Good Day LA - DirecTV Ch. 389) just showed the crowds of media waiting for Arnold to vote - he was scheduled to do so this half-hour.

At one point he actually was training to be a butcher. I wonder what went wrong.
Apparently, he couldn't cut it.

Anyone have anything to report on what turnout's like?
To: TomGuy
I found Arnold Schwarzenegger on the list, and that's all that counts (after voting yes, of course)!

Just voted at an elementary school. A little girl was waiting outside of a door with some friends and was chanting, "Vote for Arnold". It was quite funny.

Warning San Bernadino County voters: San Bernadino County will NOT be using punch card ballots for this election. Instead they used an optical balloting system where you draw a line across a broken arrow next to the vote you want to place.
I returned from voting (Yes/Arnie). I didn't much care for the optical system and was even more disturbed that the county is moving to a touch screen system. As a software engineer that does a lot of work for state government I can say with some certainity that touchscreen systems that do not generate paper ballots are an EXTREMELY bad idea, and could easily subject the voting process to fraud and software errors.
I suggest we contact the San Bernadino County election supervisiors ASAP to voice our displeasure.

Bump to keep track.

upon wiser counsel from all of you I have submitted a reponse to SF Gate. I told them that I think I voted for Mr. Schwartzmann instead of Mr. Schwarzenegger(they are right next to each other on the ballot). I feel the ballot was confusing and that my vote may have been disenfranchised. I told them that if the recall fails to please call me and I would be happy to talk to the ACLU.
I would encourage others to use the same "Broward County" approach with the SF Chronicle.

So did Rhonda the Rap-Sheet turn out to be the same as Rhonda the Gropee, or not? The thread that "broke" that as news has some comments, near the end, that ABC news reported the rap sheet does not belong to Rhonda the person who claims to be a Gropee. The people who vociferously defended the connection (between the rap sheet and the Gropee claimant) as factual hadn't made further comments as of about half an hour ago.

I found Arnold Schwarzenegger on the list, and that's all that counts (after voting yes, of course)! He's got to have one of the longest proper names on the ballot. How many people have a last name with 14 letters in it? That makes it all the easier to find. Bustamante has 10. McClintock has 10. So Arnold will probably get the 'lazy' votes. But lazy votes count just the same.

Official Orange County Poll ReportWe just got back from voting to oust Gay Davis. Here is what I discovered:
- Voter turnout appears high. It was difficult to find a place to park.
- We waited a total of 15 minutes to vote
- There were a LOT more voting booths than in previous years. I would guess there were around a dozen when usually we have no more than six.
- We had to use a ball point pen (no chad here) to fill out the boxes
- The ballot was large (approximately ledger size) and is handed to you in an oversized folder
Nothing else out of the ordinary appeared to happen. Things went smoothly just like all other elections.
Now we are on our way to Disneyland to celebrate the Liberation of California!

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2003/09/25/question_form.txt My "problem":
I'm a Democrat voter, and all those little numbers are making my head spin. It's not fair! And I wanted to vote for Ariana, because I hate SUVs, but she dropped out!!! Do I have Supreme Court case over that? And dude, I think I did a little too much ecstacy last night, so I don't think it's fair that the polling places are only open until evening. Can we keep them open until, like, 4 am? Nothing really gets going until then anyway, man...

Rumor: I heard Maria Shriver is going to change parties and become a republican! HA! (Ok- so this isn't April 1st)
To: MeeknMing
Can't get to the end to see if anyone posted this yet, but my daughter told me last night that when she was driving home from San Diego, someone had put up a huge bedsheet as a banner over the freeway that said "Arnold may have groped 15, but Davis has screwed us ALL!"
All this crap from the last few days just turned me into a broken glass republican, I voted about 10 minutes after the polls opened, and there were quite a few people there already.
Vote Early, and Vote Often!!
