Arnold may get some Democrat votes, like Reagan did.

Didn't Jesse 'the mind' Ventura prove to us all that electing 'conservative' pro-abortion muscle heads doesn't work? Once the novelty wears off, and the truth of California's utter political impoverishment hits home, Arnold may slink off into oblivion, just as Jesse did. But at least Jesse had the decency to call himself an Independent. No matter what becomes of him personally, Arnold's ascendancy will leave the national Republican Party permanently changed for the worse.

This should scare freepers more than anything... More than Davis retaining power?

That's a million dollar smile. No wonder he's going to be the next governor of California.

I love it. They spent eight years teaching women to support a philanderer, and now when that candidate is a Republican, they howl!

Rock music promoters and record companies realized along about the time of the inception of MTV: doesn't matter the CONTENT of the music, it's quality or originality. What matters is how the artist looks. Good looking guys and gals sell. Ugly guys and gals don't sell.
The MTV generation are now the voters. Parties are realizing that the content doesn't matter. Women (and gay men) are gonna vote for Arnold because he turns them on (same reason enormous numbers of women made the difference in Clinton's 92 and 96 campaigns.) It's all scary, but the future is now. California, as with everything else, is just a decade ahead of the rest of the country in this area. How the HELL could Republicans and DEMOCRAT WOMEN vote for the same guy? Because they all find him physically appealling.
Prediction: in the future, presidential candidates will look like (and will possibly BE) movie stars. The bulk of the voters know (and care) nothing about issues; they can be easily led into anything (witness: Rush's "racist" statements----what the public BELIEVES he said is not at all what he said.) Handsome men running for office will score like box office stars.

He can't. he was not born in America."Conservative" Orrin Hatch, among others, are working to change that ASAP. He's currently sponsoring a bill that would erase that requirement. It was posted here earlier today.

Arnold isn't a candidate, he's a god. He can do no wrong.
