Rush just said that contrary to many of the comments here, he could not address the drug assertions until cleared to do so by his lawyer. He reiterated "trust me," and strongly implied he could deny everything, but was prohibited from talking about it at all by his attorney.

Only for the stupid and gullible.

" I AM INNOCENT " ...Alger Hiss.
" I AM INNOCENT " ... Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.
" I AM INNOCENT " ... Mumia whatever his name is.
Need I go on ? The list is endless, of the guilty, screaming about their " innocence ".

"F Rush takes illegal prescription drugs, it would hardly be a career ender. "I have never once heard Rush complain about pain, hardly anything else ,either. Rush would have had to be on prescribed pain pills to get hooked on them. This is my opinion. I doubt that he was ever on them long enough to get hooked.
With that said, he is not addicted to them and he is innocent of all charges.
No, his career wouldn't end as far as, I am concerned. I am sure the commies would never let him live it down.

I merely wandered why, when he already had a bank of attorneys who spoke out for him last week, that he felt the need to hire Roy Black...What "bank" of attorneys spoke out for him last week? I heard no such thing.

The lawyers here have said keeping his mouth shut is a good idea. BTW, are you a lawyer? No I am not. But having a talked to a friend of a friend who is one, and having heard them say that they would advise any client to just keep quiet. I 've changed my mind.

The lawyers here have said keeping his mouth shut is a good idea. Only because they all think he is guilty.

NOOOoO. It just makes sense. IF you are not a lawyer, or haven't spoken to one recently about this subject, don't bother repeating YOUR opinion.
To: Peach
Thanks, Peach.
I agree with you so much--character IS also about how we handle failure (rejection, defeat, criticism).

Good thinking, Your Honour. Perhaps we should just ban anyone who isn't a lawyer from these threads. I watched Ally McBeal and Petrochelli a couple of times so "I put it to you, Mr Madison" that I should still be allowed to post.

Ally McBeal? LOL, now that's a good source for your info!
Sorry. Sure you're allowed your opinion, just not a "legal" one. And it's "Ms. Madison", my friend.
To: madison10
My apologies, Mizzzzzzzzzzz.
Ten, eh? Lawyers are getting younger and younger. Bit like cops.

Thank you for your insights. I sense that we are currently on different pathways in how to approach the very serious problem of people who are tragically addicted to drugs.
May we arrive at the same resting place even though we have different journeys.

Rush is fixin' to sue the everloving p!$$ out of the National Enquirer,, and as he should. This was pure hit, and it was false. NE, you lose. You played your hand just a little too quick. Don't play a lot of poker, do ya?

Has Rush said he was suiting the NE?
I hope your comments were directed at the NE, not me. I've defended him in all the threads.

Would you mind if I reminded you of this post in several weeks just to demonstrate how delusional it really was?

the same incorrect points OK, so you are the one with all knowledge and don't have to debate. One point I made was unarguably correct.
While the drugs are illegal, it is illegal to use them.
Change the law. But until then, don't do the drugs. Then there would be no war.
Shalom.

people who are tragically addicted to drugs. I suggested that people who are "tragically addicted" should receive treatment. Only if the treatment fails should they be held in confinement to keep them away from drugs.
For "recreational drugs", if they would not start, they would not become addicted. If Americans would agree that it is wrong to play with drugs while they are illegal, we would have fewer tragic addictions.
As for perscription drug abuse, you and I would probably be closer to the same page than my previous post would indicate, as that was a very general answer to a very general question.
Shalom.

Change the law.I'm glad you have finally seen the light and agree to end the failed and insane WOD.
But until then, don't do the drugs.
No problem there, I have never done an illegal drug in my life.
Then there would be no war.
The war won't have to be fought if our rights are restored and the insane WOD is ended like the last failed prohibition.
OK, so you are the one with all knowledge and don't have to debate.
But I didn't go into all that because this isn't a WOD thread. Despite you encouraging me to start the debate again on this thread.

Sorry, I was on a rant (head down and ashamed). You were right to point that out.
Thanks.
