Rush: Can't say anything until cleared by lawyer
Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | 10/6/03 | LS

Posted on 10/06/2003 9:14:43 AM PDT by LS

Rush just said that contrary to many of the comments here, he could not address the drug assertions until cleared to do so by his lawyer. He reiterated "trust me," and strongly implied he could deny everything, but was prohibited from talking about it at all by his attorney.

I didn't hear him mention any lawyers. I did hear him use the word "permissible" a few times, and I think you are right to infer that he was referring to what he has been told by lawyers he should say.

If, as we both suspect, he isn't talking about the drugs because of what his lawyers have advised him, I wish he would be honest enough at least to say that clearly.

In cases like this you are smart if you say as little as possible and let the lawyer do the talking.

I just love Rush, and respect him. In my book, he has every right to take whatever time he needs, and I do trust him. Rush BTTT

I could be wrong, but it seems to me there is never any legal harm in saying you've done absolutely nothing wrong if you haven't.

I'm certainly willing to give Rush the benefit of any doubt, but I am wondering why he just doesn't say he's done nothuing wrong, AND THEN say he'll fill us in later.

BTW Friends of mine were at the Bears game this weekend, they announced something about ESPN on the PA and lots of people booed. You gotta like that.

Some cogent analysis on this board speculated this was the case last week.

IF Rush takes illegal prescription drugs, it would hardly be a career ender.

The Rats have made it a cottage industry to abuse drugs and alcohol. So do athletes. So do Hollywood stars. Hasn't hurt their careers any.

Right so he could be in even more trouble? oh palllease!

BTW when sportswriters complained a few years back when the home run records was set that Mark McGuire was getting more attention than Sammy Sosa because he's white, how come nobody was fired for it? Hmmm

Hate to say it, but if you're going to troll this thread you will have to lay out better bait than that.

Hope this helps!

In these matters you follow your attorney's advice. Nothing controversial about that. He has one of the best in the business and should keep his trap shut.
