LOS ANGELES -- The California recall election entered a stormy final stretch this weekend with Democrats seizing on fresh allegations against Republican front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger, while the movie star accused his opponents of waging a "puke campaign" and launched a vigorous effort to maintain his lead.

Typical Davis. Typical Liberal slime machine operating in overdrive.

I know Arnold was told to expect it, and he probably thought he was ready for it. But I am sure it's different when it actually hits.

How it's going to work out, I have no idea, but it's going to get worse before it gets better, you can depend on that. I hope he has good bodyguards too, because I wouldn't rule out direction action on the DemonCRAPs part if the smears don't seem to be sticking.

Despite firm denials by the newspaper and by Democrats, Republicans continued to insinuate that Davis (AND THE CLINTONS AND THEIR HENCHMEN) was behind the salacious accounts.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Demcrat of California who was once a rival of Davis's, addressed the accusations as she joined Davis on the stump. "These 11 women have said things, frankly, that I couldn't believe anyone in public life would do . . . those things that really denigrate and deprecate a woman," she said. "It should cause us all to think, do we really want this man as governor of our state?"

Say what?!

Bump.

But Arnold didn't get where he is today by turning and running.

It truly is astounding, isn't it?

These characters on the Left are bad parodies of... themselves!

They're brazen!

Effect of actor's disclosures on women's vote unclear***For women's groups and film industry insiders alike, Schwarzenegger's comments over the course of the campaign raised larger concern than his past misconduct. Laurie Mesmer, who worked in marketing and public relations at Twentieth Century Fox Studios during the "Predator" films, said Schwarzenegger was known for his disparaging attitude toward women.

Mesmer said she would not vote for Schwarzenegger.

"Clinton had a consensual affair," said Mesmer, 52. "Now we're talking about a guy who goes up behind women and grabs their body parts. That's assault." "***

I haven't commented much on the Arnold the Groper or Rush the Doper posts, but if you were to ask me, I'd say this:

"Listen to what the women who worked with him have to say."

One of the truest tests of character I have ever known is to work with a man- do it long enough, and what he really is inside will become apparent. From what I have read, to a woman, they say these stories are false.

I don't expect him to run. But there is no telling what this is going to do at the polls.

One thing is sure, it's got Davis's fingerprints all over it. You can tell by the way he is suddenly energized and has surrounded himself with the "politically correct" type of women.

It's going to be relentless LIBERAL "news" coverage (Democrat electioneering) up to and beyond the vote Tues.

Baltimore SunCalif. voters appear likely to elect Schwarzenegger***LOS ANGELES - With the election only 48 hours away, Arnold Schwarzenegger's front-running California gubernatorial campaign is trying to roll through a barrage of news reports that he groped and sexually harassed women and was once an admirer of Adolf Hitler.

The negative charges, which are dominating round-the-clock news coverage in the final days of the recall contest, gave at least a glimmer of optimism to supporters of Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, who suddenly hoped that he might slip the noose that appeared to be tightening around his neck.

Unless Schwarzenegger's popularity slips significantly, California voters are likely to recall the unpopular governor and elect the Austrian-born movie star in his stead.

But the unrelenting stream of bad news threatened to make the election closer than expected.

"It's hard to imagine that the enormous amount of [negative coverage] isn't going to have some impact" on Schwarzenegger, said Bill Carrick, a veteran Democratic consultant who is not involved in the recall campaign. "But Davis' problem is still with those Democrats, mostly downscale voters, [members of] union households and Latinos," who either want Davis removed from office or care so little about him they won't vote. ***

Ah, the smell of feigned ignorance in the Democrat air.

Earth to Ms. Mesmer: Juanita Bradderick, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Elizabeth Ward Gracen ...

Gee, if Mary Matalin runs for public office -- of course with an (R) behind her name -- can we also have gushing, slobbering, groupie-type ***Day in the Life of James Carville**** threads on FR adoring her liberal spouse, too?

SAY WHAT? Indeed.
As I understand from the reports, these "gropings" occured as far back as 1973...involving a young, handsome, SINGLE man and various women running around movie sets. I've never been on a movie set, but I've been in the cast and crew of theater productions 30, 20 and even 10 years ago...and there was ALWAYS an atmosphere of what my dad used to call "horseplay".
Hugging & kissing, butt-slapping, verbal teasing and practical jokes were common...the players letting off steam/stage fright amongst themselves. Cast parties are also legendary. I frankly could not begin to count how many times I was "groped" (AND groped back...hee-hee) or by whom!
These gals must have goooood memories. (<<<sarcasm)

Interesting. So you are questioning Mary's conservative stand and insinuating that she cannot be trusted because she is married to a Democrat?

You better call Bush quickly and tell him, I don't think he knows that people cannot have differing views from their spouses!
