For someone who is 'ruining his career' he has sure risen to national prominence. ;-)

Yup, he is gonna be right up there with Ford's VP and John Anderson's choice of a running mate.

Good political trivia, do you know who they were?

Not only that, but he darned well knows that the PTB aren't exactly rooting for him to win. He is not playing well with the rest of the team.

So if he wins--he will be faced with lukewarm enthusiasm and cooperation. If he loses, it will be worse.

Then you have nothing to be concerned with, eh?

Nothing regarding either Keyes or McClintock.

Your post would seem to epitomize pedestrianism at its most mundane level. A losing candidate who has been far away from the limelight endorses another losing candidate...this is not newsworthy.

Like I said, I like Keyes and don't understand why so many Freepers bash him whenever his name comes up.

I have met and talked with Alan Keyes at a local business owners association meeting and I was very impressed, if there was one thing that I think Alan Keyes does that hurts him is that he talks way too fast and comes off as a little hot headed. But one thing is for sure, Alan Keyes is a rock solid conservative with unquestionable principles, he just doesn't do to well in his delivery on camera

You should understand a little better after watching this particular campaign unfold, right?

...this is not newsworthy.

Then why read it, and why post to it?

I agree with you on this, but you are dead wrong on Limbaugh, we will have to get into it at another time.

The Tomikazes don't get it, they think that the possibility of sticking California with a terrible result (Bustamecha as Gov) is better than Arnold winning. That is so freaking shortsighted that even Ray Charles can see it.

I think that when 41 announced today that his annual meritorious public service award would go to Ted Kennedy it was the final straw for Keyes.

I heard that one of McClintock's top advisors is a Christian reconstructionist. He would be doomed to failure in CA if the Dems focused on him.

LOL...I don't think that was it. Did that really happen?

Come on. Cruz has been political road kill for some time. It made a nice boogieman for y'all to scare conservatives, but at least give it a rest now.

Well, for one thing, his old supporters ( and most ogf us were )didn't like that he used the race card twice, a la Jackson & Sharpton. We didn't like that even befeore he Innauguration ceremonies, Alan was Bushbashing on T.V. ! Then, there's the wee stuff about his devious monitary scandals. There's a bunch more, but he lost almost all of his syupport here long ago.

Bottom line...Alan keyes isn't as great as his few remaining supporters here imagine him to be.

We've really reached a lowpoint when having a reconstructionist advisor is worse than having the chief financier of Planned Parenthood and a radical enviro as top advisors. And to have it be so on FR.

I don't understand why so many Freepers bash him whenever his name comes up.

Because in the past 3 years many Republicans have migrated to this forum. For the most part they assume it's a Republican forum, which it isn't.

Terms like "team player" are a dead give away.

Yeah, but Cruz will finish with 8-10 more points than Tom.

Tom has third place all locked up, how swell, kinda like when Estonia wins a bronze medal in the olympics in some bizzare sport, sure its a big deal in Estonia, but the rest of the world yawns.

If you want to send a big middle fingered salute to the LA Times, Gloria Allred, Arianna Huffington, Art Torres and Bob Mullholland, vote for Arnold.

So, if that's the case, you can quit beating up on the conservatives now.

The only thing worse than a sore loser is an ungracious winner.

as a once and now CA res, having lived in AZ in between, i relate to your antipathy toward the religious right and am happy that FR is well-balanced on that issue

that being said, you might cut jd some slack despite his sportsguy resume--on imus and many other forums he's one of the most adept verbal jousters in support of secular republican issues
