"Then why read it, and why post to it?"
I read the title and asked myself, "Why would anyone at this point in time consider this newsworthy?" I just had to see it to believe it.

Did that really happen?Just posted under breaking news.

So, if that's the case, you can quit beating up on the conservatives now. The only thing worse than a sore loser is an ungracious winner. Wrong! The election has not happened yet, every vote for Tom is a vote for Cruz and a vote for the LA Times and their sleazy tactics. Put a fork in Tom, he is not intelligent enough to realize that his entire campaign is just gonna look like him standing with a gun to his head saying "Vote for me, or this guy gets it!"
Practicality man, learn it, better to get half a loaf than no bread at all and empty wheat fields.

I'm totally not wrong on Limbaugh. Someone who is not me, should start a new thread about it so I can make my case neatly. Page me tomorrow and I'll rumble with ya' over this. LOL.
I try to stay out of the CA politics, but it's become so nationalized that it's hard to do sometimes. Arnold is the guy the GOP wants. Cali's would be smart to vote for him, because the goal is to WIN the election.
To: Amerigomag
Wow.
To: Central Scrutiniser
Arnold is not even close to half a loaf.
You'll realize that at some point, I think.

Tom has third place all locked upAnd about 30% of the likley Republican voters in California according to the Field poll released today.
Should be fun when 43 strolls into town for the Republican primary.

EV, the McClintock vs. Arnold debate has proven one thing to me:
The soul of the Vichy French lives on forever -- and apparently even it has emmigrated to America.
To: dwills
you might cut jd some slack despite his sportsguy resume--on imus and many other forums he's one of the most adept verbal jousters in support of secular republican issues Have you ever met JD? For God's sake, they have to keep the windows closed in his car or he will stick his head out like a dog with his tounge wagging. The man is a mental dwarf, he can shake hands and kiss babies, and pose for pictures and roll off 30 second speeches, but in an intellectual gun fight, he is only armed with a safety pin...

Unfortunately what you say is true. If Dems even think someone is a Christian, they start in.

You need to realize as well that there are quite a few like myself who won't vote for a pro-abortion candidate under any circumstances, ever; and that you need people like me to go to the polls and vote to recall Davis, even if they then vote for Tom.
All of the vitriol directed against Tom has been deleterious to that.
To: F16Fighter
I hear you. I hope alot of people have learned some real lessons here.
To: unsycophant
No can do, gotta get up early for the Arizona State vs USC game, gonna be an early bloody mary morning and a painfull afternoon!
To: EternalVigilance
Abortion doesn't enter into it, name a Governor who can ban abortion in his or her state.
Tom blew it, he went from being respected to being an obscure trivia question.
I'm going to bed, good night, never thought that AZ politics would be seen as fairly normal, but thank god, we always have California to kick around!
To: Central Scrutiniser
Abortion is much more of an issue for Governors than you acknowledge...as Californians will learn when Arnold appoints scads of pro-aborts, and loads up the CA delegation to the GOP national convention with them. I guarantee you those folks will bring lots more you won't like with them than just their pro-abort views.
Night.
To: Central Scrutiniser
Have fun, and we will rumble another time.

Burkeman1's account has been banned by his own request. I have been sending warning notices out to many of the warring parties on these threads and I'm betting that there will be several more suspensions, bannings and resignations before this is all over. You people will quit trashing and bashing our conservative candidates and you will quit insulting, attacking, stalking and harassing each other or a whole lot of you are going to be gone from FR! It's way past time to call for a cease fire on this board, but I am doing it now. CEASE FIRE!!!

I have the utmost respect for Tom McClintock and Alan Keyes. They are both men with integrity. I wish I could vote for Tom, but I don't live in CA.
