Rush plausible theory of what happened with the pills
me | 10/03/03 | snooker

Posted on 10/03/2003 11:47:50 AM PDT by snooker

A lot of this drugs and Rush stuff isn't adding up for me. So let me try out a theory here.

Read this on http://www.thesmokinggun.com/doc_o_day/doc_o_day.html

If true it gives insight to the behind the scenes goings on.

Note that the two were running a Palm Beach-area pharmacy.

Now, what if Rush were a legitimate customer of the pharmacy these two owned. Just happened this way. With me so far?

So the maid may have been picking up Rush's legitimate prescriptions all along. So if anyone asked, she just says these are for Rush. Cool cover story for the maid/pusher who might get caught with the drugs eh?

OK lets say these two pharmacy owners were doing what is alleged on the smoking gun site, selling these pills on the black market. Well how do they cover their tracks at audit time? Simple. Rush is a customer. So they simply credit the excess purchases to his account. Why Rush's account? They assume that if anyone wants Rush's medical records he will resist with legal means. Might be why Rush is accused of buying enough of these pills to kill a horse ... hmmmm.

Neat scam we have here. All is fine until the cops start moving in. Then trouble. The maid might have been a pusher who was taking the excess "Rush pills" and selling them, not to Rush but anyone who wanted them. So Rush was part of the cover story for the dealers/pushers.

Now add this tidbit ... I remember Rush on-air several times saying he does not bill his insurance company for drug expenses, he just pays cash for them. He admitted to not keeping records of his drug purchases nor did he total it up for taxes at year end. So Rush was an accidental sitting duck for the scam.

So now Rush goes on the air. Says he doesn't know what is going on. Assume what Rush says is true for the moment and all else begins to make sense.

Curious don't you think.

Only fair, please read...people can deny they are going deaf.
Ask Jeeves...

"Rush Limbaugh Reveals He May Soon Be Deaf," by Micheal Smith.

"Sudden Hearing Loss Strikes Rush Limbaugh," www.deafness.about.com/library Note: Rapid hearing loss can happen when the immune system attacks it. I remember hearing this on the radio after Rush got back from the operation. Any leads?

"Rush Limbaugh goes deaf." World Net Daily. Oct 9, 2001

Drudge Report Transcript 10/8/01 by Rush. Note: Rush was on med before the operation and never was on drugs before. What were the med's? Anti-depressants?

"Rush Limbaugh diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease will attempt to Alleviate Deafness." by Danny Pollack Oct 11, 2001. Ask Jeeves.

To slow hearing loss, Rush was taking a steriod and arthritis medication.

There's a distinct possibility that the maid was double dealing Rush. How could any man take approx. 5000 pills in a 47 day period and do a 3 hour talk show? Impossible imo. I'm sticking with Rush and will probably listen more now.

Better this happened before the 2004 elections. Absolutely, if these people ran a phony pharmacy and the maid convinced Rush it was a legit pharmacy, he's definitely not the target as the investigators in Palm Beach stated clearly.

The only other thing that doesn't make any sense, if Rush needed his pills, I don't see why Marta wouldn't just pick them up at Eckerds or Walgreens. I bet Marta ran errands like that for Rush, not the maid! Further, the emails to and from I believe are all from her. The maid's too stupid to realize there's all kinds of codes with every email and they can figure out whose emails they really are.

The phony story that's come out is that the National Enquirer "matches" the case file. Duh. The case file is at this time, the recorded statement-confession of the maid which essentially mirrors what she told to the NE for big bucks. A case file in an investigation is not the investigation in total. It means nothing that the two accounts match because they came from the same person, Wilma Cline.

A case file is where they throw everything as they go along. It is not conclusive as the media has made it sound.

Marta is a former aerobics trainer and a health nut. They hate drugs if they're hard core fitness people.

It's Saturday so please, no flames. What if Rush was referred to a fake doctor who wrote him a fake rx who was filled at a fake pharmacy?

Rush isn't talking because he doesn't want Wilma to sue him for defamation, wrongful termination or she'd probably even go for sexual harassment if she could fit it in a Complaint against him. These people are professional liars. Rush says he's the truth detector. I'm sticking with him.

There's a detective thread at FR too and they've made some good points about David Boies' ties to the National Enquirer, to CBS and Viacom. Boies also is part owner of a lawn service with a top drawer convicted marijuana smuggler who's married to a sex addict.

Boies is very much a part of the Palm Beach community, including his lawn service. McAuliffe also has property around Orlando. I think McAuliffe's days as DNC Chair are numbered if he doesn't perform a miracle to save their party.

If Rush is working with the cops and it's a big sting operation with him on the periphery, he's not going to blab during an investigation.

If there are lots of people who committed crimes, I'm sure he doesn't want them dropping by his lovely home. It's better for his own personal safety to say he doesn't know what he's dealing with.

IMO, if I was a big millionaire like Rush, I'd probably use cash for things that didn't seem expensive to me. I had a boss who had lots of money. He would mail cash to his son in a regular envelope and I questioned him about it because I didn't ever want to get blamed if the son didn't receive it. Plain envelope with $300 to $400 in it. People who have lots of money don't value hundred dollar bills like the rest of us.

Rush's point I think was that he was rich and didn't expect the govt. to pay for his prescription meds someday.

Don't forget that people who are bashing Rush may be straight from the Dem Underground, sent here to FR to bring down our morale. They love to infiltrate FR. Just wait until campaign season. Registration will go way up among infiltrators.

NE was repeating what the maid said. That's all they have is her word. If Rush was afraid of his wife Marta, he would be whipped and he's definitely not that type. He didn't get where he is today by being meek.

Wife could have gotten identity theft lessons from her husband. She was in the home and had access to lots of material, especially if Rush and Marta were in New York. Is there any chance that David Boies' lawn service were acquainted with Wilma Cline? How did Wilma Cline HAPPEN to be in touch with the National Enquirer? Why don't we know the beginning of that relationship with NE?

Sorry, I asked so many questions. Just throwing them out there. I don't expect answers unless someone wants to pick a question to mull over.

Check Jeeves again. Hearing loss was not drug induced.

ProSoundWeb/Possible Correlation Between Painkillers and Permanent Hearing Loss-www.prosoundweb.com/install/spotlight/hei.shtml
Hearing loss with Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen. In 1999 HEC presented an initial report of clinic obervations.

Click on to HOUSE EAR INSTITUTE and do a search "Rush Laimbaugh with Autoimmune Diease." Click on to Press Conference Summary, Oct 11, 2001. Hearing loss was not from long exposure to broadcasting or from drugs. It was Autoimmune.

Can someone familiar with addiction to these drugs describe an addict's behavior? Can it be easily hidden from family, co-workers, and close friends? Could Rush be taking that many pills and still be coherent on his radio show for three hours everyday, and then go out and play golf? He plays in golf tournaments all of the time. It just doesn't fit. He has always emphasized integrity and being the best you can be. He has inspired and entertained me for 13 years. If Rush has an addiction, I will pray for him and his family, and continue to be a major fan.

Now you are using your head...

Unlike most of the other dopes here who jump to a conclusion for starters and then defend their hasty conclusion to the death.

There are evil people out there who play for keeps. Sometimes I just shake my head and wonder at the naivete of conservatives.

Most likely true, I know it is my hubby's case. Because he is an honest upright guy, he thinks everyone else is. Boy, has he got into some lousy situations by trusting everyone who comes along!

Limbaugh's shifty, dissembling non-denial on Friday's program could easily have included the phrase: "I have never taken excessive doses of pain killers obtained by means other than a legitimate prescription."

Your naivete is showing. Any slimy lawyer could cut that sentence up any way he wanted to and try to use it against Rush in court. I think Rush is absolutely right to not say ANYTHING about it until his lawyer gives him the OK.

You can sit in judgement of him all you want, but I'm gonna wait until ALL the facts come out to pronounce mine.

I think the House Clinic paper mentions that the 12 study subjects were given prednisone, also without effect. I experienced a brief hearing loss a couple of years ago, and I surely don't want to experience that again. Thank God, my hearing returned. You cannot imagine how isolated you feel when you cannot hear. I feel great empathy for the deaf.

My brother went deaf when he was in first grade. The teacher thought he was stupied. The kids tormented him because he couldn't read. The visiting nurse thought it was something else and advised my parents to take him to a specialist. His tonsils were putting pressure on his "inner ear tubes." His tonsils were removed and he was able to hear again. But he had to repeat first grade in a different school.
