Will the enquireer become part of the EIB network?

I would like to see some FACTS, and not speculation on this whole thing. I just think it is NOT coincidental that this story broke just after the media went ballistic about his comment on up the ESPN show. It's as though someone had something WAITING for an opportune moment.

The caption from the front page of the Enquirer says " Cops' Probe Nails Him". Nails him-how? What probe? What cops? The ones who won't go on record? What'd they nail him with? The cigar box? And why does their map point to a vacant gas station when the maid said this took place at Denny's?

Someone using "EnquiringMind" on FR said yesterday that something big was going to come out today, regarding Rush. So you are right in saying that it's like they just had it sitting there waiting to go at the right time, those dastards.

Beshara probably is an Arabic name. I have seen it used by Lebanese, Egyptian, and Palestinian. OTOH, This particular person may be of some other ethnic background.

I was listening to Brit Hume tonight. It seems Rush did check in to detox twice. So I'm imagining this story could be true.

The most sickening aspect of this to me, isn't that Rush has possibly become addicted to a pain medicine, it is that the MEDIA is so sleazy as to have OBVIOUSLY POLITICALLY BLACKMAILED him. When did you ever see this happen to ANYONE ELSE... EVER?

Name a Hollywood star outed this way. Name an elite newsmaker who had a problem like this outed in this manner.

This won't hurt Rush Limbaugh financially.. it won't hurt his fan base. Because we all are intelligent enough to understand he had an illness, had surgery and that he was on pain medications and that many people do become addicted if they go beyond the prescribed usage of pain meds.

If he gets help.. goes into Rehab. END OF STORY.

The media is pathetic. Liberal compassion only extends to those who think as they do. How many high-profile athletes and entertainers have had relapses and are forgiven over and over and over, again. I guarantee this compassion will note extend to Rush (if true).

His point was that such drugs should be outlawed, because they are highly addictive and make you act stupid. If anything, he's proven his point.

Actually jail time and even the fine is fairly rare. Except that rich people still get the huge fine. Judges are very lenient when its someone who initially got addicted from legal prescriptions. Most first timers get suspended sentances or probation.

Amazing how much attention, time and space the media can devote to Rush when they could never give Clinton's addition to cocaine any space - while he was attorney general or governor - and sworn to uphold the laws!

When I think about it Rush may have mentioned the detox before. He got intentionally addicted during treatment, then detox when the pain killers were no longer needed. This is fairly common when patients suffer severe pain from treatment or injury. It's not like detox for illegal drug users because the psychological is not expected to be as large a factor. Perhaps with personal problems and high stress this was not a good assumption for Rush. I recall he had a problem with clinical depression in the early 90's. A common problem associated with extreme stress and/or lack of sleep.
