Dear FOP (Friend Of Phil):
'Political Correctness is the liberal version of fascism.' That's the title of one of the chapters in my new book, 'Right From The Heart: The ABC's of Reality in America.' It seems that diversity is encouraged by the Left until it's a diversity of thought.
ABC TV's new drama, 'Threat Matrix,' is based on an actual report given to the President each morning called the Threat Matrix. It outlines the most active domestic and international threats against the United States. This brilliant new drama from ABC is being savaged by many left-wing reviewers as "pro-Bush" or "pro-Homeland Security." It's actually pro-American and anti-terrorist, something that crawls all over those who are embarrassed to be Americans and think we should somehow apologize to the world.
There is a concerted effort underway in Hollywood to kill this wonderful show. We must not allow that to happen. In this day and age of reality TV it's rare that we find such a smart and well-produced jewel like 'Threat Matrix.' By tuning in and supporting this series on Thursday nights at 8PM Eastern, 7PM Central, we can collectively trump the critics.
Please join me in this fight against political correctness by supporting a show bold enough to espouse pro-American ideals while clearly identifying the terrorists as the true enemies they are and not some disenfranchised group worthy of foreign aid.
You can read a synopsis of the series at the link below.
Threat Matrix
Please pass this e-mail along to everyone in your mailbox and let's thwart the liberals one more time. Watch 'Threat Matrix' Thursday night at 8PM, 7 Central.
Thanks,
Phil Valentine

I'll bet the Libs will just love "It's All Relative", which refers to Republicans as "Baboons" in the promos.

Uhhhh. West Wing. I have never read an article in the mainstream press about the republicans being angry about it. Perhaps it was just so obvious it wasn't 'news'.
I guess they have to give a heads up to all of those nice porno-loving, S&M gay couples so that they can be more careful about what they let their kids watch. Can't have the kids watching anything but smut can we?

ABC is being savaged by many left-wing reviewers as "pro-Bush" or "pro-Homeland Security."And, of course, being non partisan, these very same reviewers villified The West Wing as anti-Bush, didn't they?

Jeez, it seems that no one can make a television show or movie about politics without someone on the left or the right getting their feathers ruffled about how they are being 'persecuted' or 'mistreated'. If someone is fearfull or gullible enough to have their political viewpoints influenced by a hollywood screenwriter then I feel sorry for them. In my opinion this is a non-issue due to the fact that 'Threat Matrix' is going-up against 'Friends' and 'Survivor' during that Thursday Night time slot, so nobody is watching it anyway.

There is no way I would watch either Friends or Survivor. Threat Matrix is fairly good. If it was not on, I would watch none of the major networks at that time.

I wouldn't say that. I watch it, and I know of a few political junkies who like seeing a story about the inner workings of the government.
Not everyone is a fan of mindless pap. Some people actually like a program that makes them think - rare as it is.

They really did put it in a Death Slot, didn't they? Too bad. It's a pretty good show -- and it has Kelly Rutherford in it, which gives it ten bonus points in my book.

WOW! Didn't even know that this was on. I will have to check it out. I was getting to be a fan of 24 and MI5. Plus, am not finding many new shows to fill the void. Happily some of my other shows are coming back this week.

They've already changed it to "bartenders," probably because of complaints.
Although those sound clips are supposed to be from the two sets of parents.
If you'll notice the first part calls the really liberal parents "fruits" and other such things.

We have seen two shows, and they have been excellent.
Normally, we never watch anything that ABC/Eisner comes out with. However, a friend told us to watch it. So we tried it and like it.
After the last show, I told my wife, that the Follywood lefties and the left wing mediots/videoits on the East Coast would be trying to kill this show. Just like they tried to do when JAG first came out. It appears that I was right.
Hopefully the show will stay the way it has started.
I loved the scene when they stuffed the suicide bomber into the bomb containment device and the bomb went off.

Dammit - its opposite "Survivor", a household favorite. And whenever I try to record one thing while watching something else, I screw it up.

We are not survivor fans, however our oldest son and his wife are survivor fans. So they have your conflict.
I think that they will be ordering the new TiVo that Direct TV apparently has for such conflicts.
My wife told our DIL that putting Threat Matrix on Thursday Night was like what the CBS brass would do with JAG when it came out. They put it against heavy competition and kept moving it around. The JAG junkies like my wife just followed it from night to night and time slot to time slot.

What's television?
To: AppyPappy
I can't help it. It started with one little reality show, and like Eve offering up the apple, She Who Must Be Obeyed said she heard it was fun. Then it turned into following Survivor...then The Amazing Race....then the Family....
I'm so hooked.
To: Grampa Dave
I liked JAG until it started jumping the shark a few years ago.

I need a little decoding here: "I liked JAG until it started jumping the shark a few years ago"
