An August 10, 2003 Seattle Post-Intelligencer Editorial contains the following paragraph:
"In carefully discussing what he called the hypothetical possibility his wife is a CIA employee, Wilson noted that the use of her maiden name would compromise work done before their marriage five years ago." [end exerpt]
Oh, really. Well then WILSON, HIMSELF, compromised his own wife when his copyrighted 2002 biography was published with this statement: "He is married to the former Valerie Plame and has two sons and two daughters."
Please click the above link if you want to read the entire editorial (pretty vicious toward President Bush).

Wilson's biography also notes that his connection to Democrat politicians goes back at least 18 years. He worked for Al Gore and Tom Foley beginning in 1985.

Nearly every op-ed piece involving Wilson features that ending statement for his BIO - seen it on the net in lots of places.
Just do a google search on her name...

Isn't it associating her w/ the CIA that is the problem? Not just using her name?
To: Chad Fairbanks
Now that is interesting because I would imagine they filed a license etc. and had a wedding with her relatives also. In other words, this Valerie is "not a secret anything". I wonder if there is an old article in the newspaper about their wedding?

Excellent work, Wolfstar! Hope you heard Rush discussing this today on the air... I have no doubt he wasn't aware of this until your thread(s) were forwarded to him today by FReepers (including me).

Ping - please help spread the word. Wilson is a liar who is doing everything he can to act like the outraged husband. The above proves otherwise.
Another of his lies: He also has been claiming he is non-partisan because of his diplomatic service during the GHWB administration. However, he has ties to very senior Democrats going back at least 18 years, and he's contributed to John Kerry's presidential campaign.

Wow...the Dems are just grasping at anything that moves now. Its very pathetic to watch as it all unfolds. The more we know, the more desperate Dems look in retrospect.

I know. That's not the point of this thread. The point is that WILSON is claiming the revelation of her maiden name in 2003 compromised her work. Yet his own bio revealed it in 2002.

Read the Post-Intelligencer editorial, and particularly the paragraph where Wilson claims just revealing her maiden name will compromise her work.

Every bio that we can find on this clown state his wife's maiden name.
I guess that he needs Weasel Clark's time machine to go back and change things.

I wonder if there is an old article in the newspaper about their wedding? Don't know if this means anything .. but yesterday MSNBC aired a video news clip of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Wilson greeting then President Clinton and his wife in some kind of receiving line at a former function.
Now MSNBC only aired a small clip of it and only showed the back of her blonde head .. but I wonder what the rest of the video clip shows .. like her face maybe

Cliff May, on Fox News this morning, said that before Novak's column appeared, a democrat told him who Wilson's employer was. I heard this so looked to see if he wrote it down and found it. The only thing he left out is the timing of the *dem* telling him was before Novak's item was printed.
The Corner September 30, 2003
Scroll down to Cliff May's notes:
THE WILSON SAGA: A RECAP [Cliff May] Everyone seems to accept that if the White House leaked the name and occupation of Joe Wilson's wife it was done to "smear" him. But how does that information smear Wilson?
When I learned that his wife worked for the CIA, it caused me to think better about him. In fact, one friend, a Democrat, cited his wife's occupation to me to suggest that Wilson was not as rabid a partisan as I believed (and as I had alleged in NRO).
The alternative explanation that Wilson has suggested: That his wife's name was leaked to "intimidate" him. What does that mean? That the idea was that some foreign agent might attempt to kill Mrs. Wilson?
Are reputable journalists really taking such an allegation seriously?
To: Wolfstar
He also has been claiming he is non-partisan because of his diplomatic service during the GHWB administration. However, he has ties to very senior Democrats going back at least 18 years, and he's contributed to John Kerry's presidential campaign. And he's a member of Moveon.org. There's no such thing as a non-partisan member of moveon.org.

A freeper mentioned it on the live thread yesterday

The point is that WILSON is claiming the revelation of her maiden name in 2003 compromised her work. Yet his own bio revealed it in 2002.And thank you for pointing that out. The way the stories were written was confusing as "revealed the identity of Wilson's wife" could be interpreted as her maiden name and/or her employer.
I am pleased that as Wilson spins his web of deceit he is contradicting himself all over the place.

Has anyone sent this to Brit at FNC?

I understood your point. I was just helping out :0)
