Hillary Warns Californians: Arnold is a Right-winger

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton warned Californians on Friday that GOP gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger is part of a right-wing stampede hell-bent on taking over California the same way they've taken over the nation.

"Let's make it absolutely clear that California is not going to be stampeded by the same right-wingers that gave us the election in Florida and are trying to do things that are really against our interest," Clinton told a West Hollywood "women's rally" for incumbent Gov. Gray Davis via telephone.

Sen. Clinton branded Schwarzenegger with the right-wing label even though the former movie actor takes the liberal position on a wide array of issues near and dear to Democrats, such as abortion-rights and gun control.

She blamed ballooning budget deficits that have plagued Gov. Davis on the "miserable leadership in Washington," according to quotes picked up by Reuters.

I have not whined to you. The only ones that have been whining are you McClintock supporters.

As I have said a month ago. Arnold is going to win this election with or without Tom in the race. Tom will ruin his political carreer and make his supporters even more irrelevant in the party than they are now. Hopefully they will leave the party and join the Libertarians or some other fringe group.

You apparently didn't like my suggestion that you butt out of the CA recall, so, I have another one for you. Take a Midol and lay down, you'll feel better in the morning. I understand that it helps in cases of hysteria, and ill temperedness.

I think you are missing my point. If the dems retain control of CA, the CLINTONS' value system (and utter failures) will be operational....

ALL Republicans and conservatives really must examine the consequences of this recall on the presidency, on our country and on the world. If we have clinton redux, we can all kiss our value systems good-bye... likely forever.

These are serious times that demand serious thought. We cannot afford the luxury of parochial attitudes, petty fights and hypernuanced policy. We are fighting a war for our very survival!

If the dems retain control of CA, so do the clintons.

But I do content he's a LOT better than Gray-Sewer-water-spend-like-hell-Davis or ZurC Aztlan-all-for-Hispanics--nothing-for-everyone-else.

But more important would be to surround him every way possible with balanced, rational, persuasive but very orthodox conservatives who would know how to wed, anchor solid conservative values across the board with the values he already holds dear from his years of hard personal work and conservative economics.

And, Ambrose, I still cheer your fierce loyalty to solid conservative values and admire your pluck.

I think it will take some decidedly wise and potently persuasive conservatives working shoulder to shoulder with him to educate him thoroughly and across the board. But I believe it can be done AND THAT IT'S ENORMOUSLY IMPORTANT TO DO IT.

I still wonder how many of his strings the puppet masters are pulling.

But I read his personality as exceedingly able and likely to surprise the puppet masters in the final analysis regardless of how much control they THINK they have over him.
