Sunday Sept. 28, 2003; 11:25 a.m. EDTHillary Warns Californians: Arnold is a Right-winger
New York Sen. Hillary Clinton warned Californians on Friday that GOP gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger is part of a right-wing stampede hell-bent on taking over California the same way they've taken over the nation.
"Let's make it absolutely clear that California is not going to be stampeded by the same right-wingers that gave us the election in Florida and are trying to do things that are really against our interest," Clinton told a West Hollywood "women's rally" for incumbent Gov. Gray Davis via telephone.
Sen. Clinton branded Schwarzenegger with the right-wing label even though the former movie actor takes the liberal position on a wide array of issues near and dear to Democrats, such as abortion-rights and gun control.
She blamed ballooning budget deficits that have plagued Gov. Davis on the "miserable leadership in Washington," according to quotes picked up by Reuters.

I'm glad that you find this recall amusing and fun for you. It's not for us that live here, and we are taking it quite seriously.
I know that you are upset that your man cannot win and will most likely come in a distant third behind Bustamante, but for you to find it amusing and a game speaks volumes about your character.
You have lost, and now you are pouting and sniping. I cannot believe that grown men can act in such a childish and silly way.
Oh, and by the way, I don't think you ever answered the questions posed to you by this poster. Well, you replied in your usually non answer, condensending way. Perhaps you might try to seriously answer the serious questions posed to you.

Got it. But the first one was better. I'm on a pitiful dial-up with very little oom-pah. The high res. one is really slow.
Thanks.

This is really bad news for the clintonites.
1. Loss of face after all those efforts of the toon and assorted dwarfs.
2. Causes rats to spend a ton of cash CA during the '04 race.
3. Another high profile GOP Governor
4. Further muddies shrillaries '04 run and looks like they pushed Clarke out front for no result

Absolutely bad news for them. They thought they could control CA by bringing Willie in to stump for Davis. It didn't work, now they are in a panic. Though I see their stategy in trying to tie the recall with the Florida mess. They are going to try to ralley their troops with that message.

Just because Kali has two Senators (iirc) from New York doesn't mean that a current US Senator (NY) can tell Kalis what to do or think.

"Let's make it absolutely clear that California is not going to be stampeded by the same right-wingers that gave us the election in Florida and are trying to do things that are really against our interest," She couldn't make it more plain that for all the dem talking points that the Republicans want to deny certain groups the right to vote (what a crock--Lieberman recently spouted this in one of those dem "debates"), it is she who would dearly love to disenfranchise every "right-wing" (read Republican) vote. To them the only legitimate vote is a vote for themselves.
To: ambrose
She obviously doesn't read FreeRepublic. Otherwise, she'd realize that he's a far-left, dope smoking, baby killing, gun grabbing, tax raising, queer loving, liberal Democrat.

Hillary had another good line in that conversation with the group... She was blaming the lack of leadership in Washington D.C. for a lot of the nations woes, ecomonic, employment, gasoline, etc. She said gasoline had gotten so high that the women down in Texas that wanted to run over their husbands were now car pooling....
That was Ann Richards, who graced them with her actual presence and evidently had the great idea to regale the crowd with tales of her run against Dubya and compared it to Davis' situation. LOL It was not reported if she mentioned she lost in her match-up, but I would grant her the comparison might be fitting, but not in the way she meant.

When you are a radical Marxist left wing extremist, everyone looks like a right winger. Exactly the pount I make to my Lefty "friends" who believe the media is dominated by the Right ... I suppose that's true if you consider "The Nation" centrist ... love the graphic!

Stupid, if not evil.
There's no relation between California and Florida, and she knows it. Florida had no uniform method of dealing with the ballots; California does.
If the punch ballot is so flawed, then why was it ok last year when Comrade Davis was elected?
