We are in a heated campaign with a trade association of municipal employees who are running a major tax increase campaign. Their Annual Convention is just around the corner and we are planning a freep.
We are looking for ideas for a spectacular freep. We want something better than standing around with signs. Any ideas for us?

get a sheet and make an eagle costume out of it with red and blue paint, using a sheet the person shouldn't get too hot... although the eagle face might be tough to make...

What ever you do make sure you have police protection and a couple of people at a safe distance with video cameras.
These guys are not nice to people who voice opposing opinions.
If a guy puts his hat on your head get ready to duck and cover.

Figure out how much taxpayers' money will be wasted if the "publik service" union's tax plan would cost. Then, 1) purchase that amount of money from Parker Brothers in small bills, 2) Rent a wood chipper, 3) As part of your FReep, make sure the TV cameras are cranked to get the photograph of $00 million dollars going into the grinder. (You might want to use $20 monopoly bills because they are a similar green to US currency.)
I guarantee you will get local TV for this. Maybe national TV such as the Fox 80-second bits.

What are they going to leave you to eat, dog food, tin cup for income.
I did a FReep in Portland, Maine a year and a half ago with RockLobster, ozone1 and a few of the boy's and girls from the Cumberland County Republicans, most unfriendly place I have ever FReeped, and I have done a lot of them. Get a Permit, short money.

How about "Bring Out Your Dead!!"
Prior to the convention, follow a few members to luncheons, junkets...other tax supported non-productive functions, and then-- on the big day, play the tapes on a loop as you pretend to cart away the corpses of "dead weight". There is always a way to cut government spending, but you can't count on people in government to point it out to you.
Do it in such a way,(with humor) that the 6 O'Cock news can't help but report on your antics!
