This selfish individual is putting his own wants over what is best for California. He does not have enough support to win state wide in California ( don't tell me about 'the most Republican votes, last election' - he still lost and because of this will NEVER get that many votes again!) he can only help elect the little fat guy. McClintock supporters, its up to you to do what he does not have the courage and selflessness to do. If he won't drop out, do it for him. Your state is in real danger of becoming part of a foreign country. Only you can stop this from happening.

If Arnold loses in a close election to Bustamante, then taxes go up, more illegals, etc., McClintock will be the most unwelcome person in Republican circles.

Stupid Tom. Really, really, stupid.

There will be a big dirt ball or two from Davis and Mulholland soon. Just wait for the dirt balls and then decide which one (Arnold or Tom) should withdraw.

Your comments make certain assumptions many of us do not feel are justified by the evidence.

Governor Cruz sort of has a nice ring to it (not). I agree with Issa, if this guy doesn't bail, California is better off with Davis as governor rather then the hispanic guy. Is McClintock on the DNC payroll???? He sure acts like it.

Pretty much spitting in Issa's face regarding his promise.

Tom HAS given his "permission," or blessing, or whatever you'd care to call it, to his supporters who choose to vote Arnold if those supporters believe that voting for Tom would be counterproductive (Cruz). So don't be too harsh on him.

Do you really think McClintock supporters will help to elect Bustamante? I like Tom McClintock, if he had a chance to win I would vote for him, but I will not allow Bustamante to get elected, I will cast my vote for Arnold and I think many other McClintock supporters will do the same.

What an ego this guy has. The other day, I heard him comparing himself to Reagan in 1966. 1966 was Reagan's first run. His opponent in the GOP primary was George Christopher, who IIRC, had been mayor of San Francisco. Reagan was not expected to beat the more experienced Christopher but he did and he went on to win the general election against Pat Brown.

This ain't no primary and he ain't no...

See. Darryl Issa said that McClintock told him he would get out and not be a spoiler. Once again McClintock's phone calls aren't in sync.

"UNTIL THE END"

===

That will also be "THE END" of Tom's career.

"By remaining in the race, McClintock faces the possibility of a backlash within his party if he is viewed as the spoiler. "If he's perceived as helping Bustamante be elected governor, he's going to have some real tough times in the Republican Party and his own district," said GOP analyst Allan Hoffenblum. "

okay McClintock is my rep. I have volunteered for him in his office. So I think I can speak here. One of the reasons that Mclintock is appealing to conservatives is that he doesnt take political hack money .... he is not compromised.....

Well if you are intellectually honest you have to see that in recent weeks McClintock has taken HUGE amounts of cash from the Indian Gaming interests. They are actually supporting Bustamecha but they know McClintock will deflate arnold. SO Tom knows this is what they are doing and yet he still is taking thier money, for his own personal gain. THUS he is compromised... and if you look at it on the surface it is exactly what Davis and Bustamecha are doing. If you do not come to that conclusion you are itellectually dishonest.

That would explain why Art Torres has been pushing McClintock.

Hedgecock also stated that McClintock is his long-time friend, but he made it plain that McC should get out of the race.

When I hear about a so-called "suicide bomber" going into a market and killing and maiming all sorts of innocent people, I think, "If he wanted to blow himself up, why didn't he just find a deserted spot out in the wilderness and do it?"

So... why am I thinking that same thought, now?

dittos. You've nailed it. Politics is more about comparative than absolute analysis. You want the lesser of evils in charge.

Yes, the illegals are going to Cruz right over the border to CA even more with prospect of even more welfare.

I understand McClintock wanting to compete. What I cannot understand are the people calling in Hannity's show carping about a pro-life candidate no matter what. The state is in economic free-fall and a change is urgent and needed.

Or else you will get Aztlan.
