Sorry to RGSpinich for doubting him on this. Interesting stuff.

And McClintock will hear these words and suggest Issa is asking Schwarzenegger to drop out. That seems to be the trend in his interpretation of everything so far.
What is it with his constantly comparing his stance to Reagan's...in a primary? He is no Reagan and this is no primary. It's become unbelievable.

Obviously McClintock is demanding a high price for dropping out. I'd guess total commitment from Arnold and the party in his next effort .... a run for the senate against Boxer. I hope this is the case anyway. I was smart enough to leave Californicate eight years ago. The rest of you ought to wise up. Arnold is probably going to prove to be a bad joke but who knows? He cannot be worse than the Rat party in power. The Allan Keyes type Republican voters on the Left coast need to realize they are not voting for a new pastor ... they're voting for a politician. I can't vote cause I don't live there any more but we have a lot of money tied up in municipal bonds out there. Get real you poor fools who still live there. Protect my money! Please!

This has already been posted and as usual led to the typical McClintock vs. Schwarzenegger diatribe from our mathematically "challenged" compatriots.
Let's see in the poll on this web-site Arnold and Tom both get around 50%. I know this isn't exactly correct and that Tom is leading Arnold but that's close enough. Assume that percentage is exactly the number of conservative votes Arnold is getting. That reduces Arnold's percentage of the votes to 13% if he drops out and that will go to Tom. That'll put Tom at 27%, which is around what Arnold now has. Which by the way, on the surface, looks like a good thing. Question: What happens to the other 13%--who do they vote for?

Issa sounds like a little cry baby who is threatening to pick up his marbles and walk away. What a joke.
I am sick and tired of these politicians trying to game this recall race based off polling data which has been jumping all over the place. Vote the way your heart tells you, count the ballots, and see how things turn out on October 8th.
Simple.

This is a lie. He is the only MAJOR Democrat in the replacement race, but there are plenty of others running as Democrats.

"If two major Republicans remain on the ballot, I'd advise you to vote 'no' on the recall," This is what us Arnold supporters have been saying for two weeks. Tom McClintock knows what the internal polls say, that his support is slipping due to the Indian Casino fiasco, but he still continues on, with the apparent explicit goal of electing Bustamante. I now fully believe this is McClintock's goal, based on his actions and the Burton conversation.
Here is what our Monday polls show:
Bustamante 33%
Schwarzenegger 32%
McClintock 12%
In addition, our polls suggest the large undecided would swing decisively in Arnold's direction if Tom were to pull out.
There are two weeks until the election. McClintock can do nothing but spoil. His actions are clearly disgraceful, akin to the idiotic Libertarian candidates who help elect Democrats opposed to their views. But his ego will clearly not be moved. So if Tom does not pull out I URGE my fellow Californians to vote NO on recall to avoid Tom's goal and our state's worst nightmare: a Bustamante Regime.
VOTE "NO". BETTER DAVIS THAN AZTLAN.

Funny how the media will tell a lie and then repeat it later as if it were accepted fact.
Issa did not start the recall. He came along at a time money was needed and gave it the financial backing it needed to see the effort through.
I'm sure others on here can give a more accurate history fo the start of the recall.

Nobody is listening to this good advice. Recall may fail anyway, and that wouldn't be a bad thing.

But McClintock doesn't sound like a man getting ready to bail out of the recall replacement race. In an e-mail message sent to supporters Monday, he reminded them that Republican leaders had urged Ronald Reagan to step aside in the 1966 governor's race to clear the GOP primary field for San Francisco Mayor George Christopher, a more moderate candidate."Reagan declined. The rest is history,"
NONSENSE! THIS ISN'T A PRIMARY for Republican voters. This is a free for all. Arnold knows what he has to do to get RATS and undecideds to vote for him

On cue, the title of this SFC article is misleading. The liberal media knows well that most people scan the headlines and read only 5% of the articles. By only reading this headline, a reader would come away with the planted impression that Issa is making a blanket call to vote NO on the recall. One would have to read the article would to discover the truth.
It is a common propaganda technique in the liberal press where devotion to party politics is more important than truth or what is best for America. In other words, lie in the title, bury the truth in the article for plausible deniability.

Issa, who started recall, now tells voters to reject it Lies, damned lies, misrepresentation, and then there's the SF Chronicle.
Issa may have enabled the recall to become more widespread quicker, but is far, truly far from "starting" the recall.
That is an outright lie. Living and working in the Sacramento valley, I have been a spectator and a participant from day one.
