Why thank you, doyenne of live threads. I just realized when looking at the list of nominees that I don't watch any of those shows! I don't get HBO or Showtime.
So I'll just watch what the weird wear and enjoy.

My sum total of TV is sports, Fox News, Smallville, South Park and The Simpson's...so I don't have much to add to the thread.
But I'll check in from time to time just 'cause these threads are so darn fun.

The Sopranos were not eligible last year, and it's been too long since their last season to really make an impact... but the Sopranos has been screwed out of Best Drama award since it began. IMHO, it is the best show on television.

Is Patricia Heaton up for best actress in a comedy?

A friend of mine
Bill Asher, is taking his wife to the Emmys for the first time. He will be in row 17, on the aisle. He should be easy to spot because he's in a wheelchair from knee surgery.
Meredith, his wife, will be wearing a tan dress with Nehru collar. Bill used to be married to Elizabeth Montgomery and produced and directed some of television's most popular shows, including I Love Lucy, Bewitched, Gidget, and Make Room For Daddy.
He was also the man behind the ' Happy Birthday Mr President' with Marylin Monroe.

I'm looking forward to the tribute to John Ritter. Since I'm on the West Coast I won't be on the thread until later since I don't want to know who wins.
My favorite shows were 24, Alias and CSI.
Just heard some of the dresses will be on Ebay after the show on Clothes Off Our Back page!
