If 32% are undecided, it's that group that really has the chance to choose the new governor. Given the relative amount of publicity each candidate has gotten, it seems that McClintock has the advantage in getting these voters. Everyone is already thoroughly familiar with both Busty and Arnold - if they haven't committed to one yet, it means they haven't yet seen what they want from a candidate.

"Leadership skills" in getting socialist garbage like Prop 49 passed or leading the opposition to Prop 54 is the kind of "leadership" we can do without...

Arnold doesn't share too many conservative values. What point is there for a conservative to back him?

You might want to add this latest gem:

Schwarzenegger July 2003 interview in Esquire Magazine: "As much as when you see a blonde with great tits and a great ass, you say to yourself, 'Hey, she must be stupid or must have nothing else to offer', which maybe is the case many times. But then again there is the one that is as smart as her breasts look, great as her face looks, beautiful as her whole body looks gorgeous, you know, so people are shocked." -Schwarzenegger 2 months ago, not 30 years back

It sounds like Field Poll numbers. It still hasn't factored in the little fascists in the Nine Circus trying to help the Dems win one they can't seem to win by themselves out on the campaign trail.

MadClintock

As clever as it is persuasive.

Considering McClintock's supporters have nothing to lose, I'd say you need them a hell of a lot more than they need you. Maybe insulting the living daylights out of them, as the Arnoldites have been doing for weeks now, isn't the best way to go about winning them over.

How about for a reason no one can legitimately support Tom for...to keep bustamante from becoming California's next governor.

The article offered no information as to exactly what polster conducted the poll...and where. Since the article you shared is the Mercury, in San Jose, the poll could have easily been San Francisco.

It's not worth it, better to let Davis complete the term and enter the 2006 campaign holding all the cards.

If McClintock and Arnold debate, Arnold will be beaten like a stray mutt. No comparison in knowledge of the issues, none.

Yep. McClintock is an experienced California professional politician. He knows about cutting deals with the Democrats in power. He's been doing it for years. Look how much good he's done in his years in the state legislature. Yep, he's the one to cut the deal with Busty so that the dims can stay in power. He'll even get some money from the mob, funneled through the indian gambling halls. He's a REAL politican. Gimme more of that.

Considering McClintock's supporters have nothing to lose

Seeing as their candidate can't win, I guess they have nothing to lose. You're right, Arnold supporting FReepers could risk losing the support of the McClintock voters if and when McClintock drops out. If Busta-MEChA wins by 20 votes over Arnold, I guess the Arnold supporter screwed up.
