where on earth did you get the idea it would pay for itself??? It gets worse... they're like guns... I now own 3 of em - and I feel lucky when I can find enough stuff to buy a new set of batteries.

I love beachcombing in Oregon after a good storm and lots of stuff gets uncovered that may have been there for years and years. I have jars and jars of coins. Haven't found any gold ones, nor nuggets. Have found some jewelry. My wife is the fanatic though :o)

Great news in that the storm never did restrengthen after dropping to 105MPH winds and approx. 957mb.
