Well, the hurricane is going to last, with all that rain and stuff for at least 12 hours. And then there might be flooding and power outages...another 12 hours at the very least. You are going to need kegs for that much time.

That was most frightening because no one could imagine such destruction.Snow avalanches, mud slides yes..but not that river of mud and ash.

I am Editor of my college paper now. Got to put in some stuff in this issue about how a poll shows wide support for Bush in Iraq.
I do my darndest to keep the news coverage balanced though. I hate bias of any form in news.

If memory serves right, 80 people were killed from the blast and effects of the volcano. No one was hurt as far away as we were, but it shut everything down up to 300 miles east of the volcano, and in the other directions for quite a distance as well.

What did you do to Miss Marple's pic.

It does look like a live throbbing beast. I think I'm off to bed myself.
Night to all.

I bought Adobe Elements for Mac many months ago. It's written in Greek, I believe.
If anyone can tell me where to find its symbols on the keyboard, I would be very grateful.
I'm feeling pretty stupid.

Oh, we weren't in any danger that far away, but we certainly were shut down by the ash for a week afterward. If you were driving in a car though when the ash started coming down, your car was ruined forever...let alone trying to see through the stuff -- headlights just bounced off the ash. People who were driving had to stop for hours right on the road because they couldn't see through it even with headlights on.

Good night.May you awaken to a weakened storm with little rain!

I am Editor of my college paper now. That is way cool. I'm so proud of you! And your attempts to keep the reporting biasfree is commendable.
I have to run. Good luck to all of you in the path of Isabel. Stay safe.

Let's admit right up front that we are, in fact, weather junkies. Just get it over with. No more apologizing! Tell it like it is, Lady! I've been a weather junkie for as long as I can remember, and proud of it! :)
The thing is is that we just cancelled the family package of Calevision to save money. Can you think of a worse week not to be able to watch the Weather Channel?
