So if we drop the Clintons into Mecca will that kill two birds with one stone?

I just hope the sandmaggots are not totally insane.

They touch the vatican or let loose a WMD in the US and Mecca, Medina and every other muslim "holy" place will instantly become a permanent and radioactive "hole-y" place.

Guaranteed.

"Muslim apocalyptic writers indicate that the long-term targets of terrorism will continue to be Washington and New York -- along with the Vatican."

The Muslim version of the "X-Files".

How does one become a "apocalyptic writer"????

in the words of one of the writers, Muhammad `Isa Da'ud -- "the sea will swallow up New York.">

This is just like the Islamists. New York is beloved by many Muslims, probably the city in which they can find the most freedom and acceptance and they plan to blow it up.

There are many Catholic prophecies which predict the Muslims will take over the Vatican. Now they predict it themselves. Italy is being overrun by illegal Muslims as we speak. Is anyone paying attention?

Looks to me like some Muslim seers ate too many burritos before going to sleep. I don;t doubt that NYC, DC, and the Vatican are targets, and will continue to be, but not for the mumbo-jumbo in this article.

Ad was an advanced civilization, according to Cook, who has studied the Muslim apocalyptic interpretations and quotes Abdallah as seeing Ad as a civilization that "could predict weather and possessed other advanced technology.

Well, I can understand that predicting the weather is seen as advanced technology to Muslims. lol

Heck, reading FR over some years I know this article misses a big one.

Type "romiyya" into a web search engine.

Just for starters:

Muslim Radicals don't get it, they think if they blow something up they out of fear will get the world to convert, when in fact all they cause is themselves to become target #1.

The destruction of New York and the U.S. by everything from war to earthquakes is accompanied by ominous Islamic prophetic interpretations that have the U.S. defeated in Jerusalem.

"After this," notes Cook, "the victorious Muslims will conquer Europe and destroy the 'idolatrous church in the Vatican.'

"This will lead to the brief reign of the Mahdi, which will be ended by the physical appearance of the Dajjal himself, who will gather another huge army to fight the Battle of Armageddon."

The "Mahdi" is a messianic figure whom some radicals now associate with Osama Bin Laden. According to Muslim writers, the Mahdi will proclaim himself in Mecca and move against Jordan, which will be ruled by a Jew.

"Then America will live through the worst disaster in its history," writes Muhammad 'Isa Da'ud. "This disaster will be the destruction of New York by a terrible flood after a terrifying series of explosions nearby makes the surrounding waters swallow it up as if it is an ant inside a terrifying star of heat and water."

Could get interesting sooner than we expect, where the Mahdi is concerned...

Eclipses during Ramadan
by David L. McNaughton
In "Hamdard Islamicus" (Karachi, Pakistan), vol. XIX no. 1 (Spring 1996): pp. 81-86.

Double Eclipses during Ramadan

Sometimes a Ramadan will contain a solar and a lunar eclipse. That inevitably provokes comment, because of traditions that such a "double-eclipse" is a portent for some unusual event. Ithna'asheri Shi'ites, for example, believe that their Twelfth Imam will reappear after a Ramadan double-eclipse (although those two phenomena will supposedly take place in reverse order, with the solar one occurring in mid-month (5); that will require the moon to suddenly double its speed of movement after the onset of the Holy Month!)

In March/April 1894 (Ramadan 1311), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (founder of the Ahmadiyya or Qadiani movement in Pakistan) interpreted a double-eclipse as a sign that he was a genuine modern-day prophet (6). The lunar eclipse during that particular month was only partial, although the solar one two weeks later was total in a few places in eastern Asia (7). However, there was nothing at all extraordinary about those two eclipses: every 22 or 23 Islamic years there is at least one Ramadan featuring a pair of eclipses two weeks apart (8) - one of which is usually partial; see Table 1.

Very much rarer is a Ramadan containing two total eclipses.

Table 2 lists all such occasions since AH 1, as well as during the next 200 years (9); (its solar eclipses are all central, with annular ones also included).

It will be interesting to see whether the two total eclipses scheduled to occur during Ramadan 1424 (AD November 2003) - are cited to support a claim similar to that made by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, or as proof of thesignificance of some extraordinary event.

the corresponding Julian date is then shown below in brackets.

A Google search on ramadan mehdi eclipse (alternate "mahdi" spelling) yielded 86 results.

One of those Members and one of the Infallible Imams is Imam Al-Mahdi whom Allah has prepared to fill the earth with justice, by means of Islam, having been filled with oppression, falsehood and unbelief. BLACK FLAGS of Islam -- Portents of the Imam al-Mahdi?

Black Flags of Islam Portents of the Imam al-Mahdi, the Moslems' prophesied deliverer of Jerusalem? from Diane Alden… Afghanistan has special significance to the world of militant Islam. It was once called Khurasan, along with parts of Iran and Pakistan. Muhammad said: "If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan, join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice, for that is the army of the Imam al-Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem." That is one reason Osama bin Laden chose it as his base, or al-Qaida. Mohammed's ...

I'm looking for information concerning Mohammed's Prophecies of the Imam Mahdi. Particularly where they might shed light on Osama bin Laden's strategies behind the Terror attacks of 9/11. Specific quotes and sources appreciated.

Of course these Islamic idiots appear to be unaware that any attempt to take out NYC or DC would result in a "Roman" response by the US that would fry all Arab nations in atomic destruction. Mecca would be a prime target.

Consider the source, then take it with a grain of salt, or if nothing else take it as humor. I don't know anything about these claims but find them entertaining if nothing else.

“Take it as humor”???

Polycarp, you don’t have any excuse because I’ve been pinging you long enough to FR threads precisely outlining the apocalyptic beliefs of the Islamist terrorists.

Understanding Islamic End-Times Beliefs

Dajjal (the Deceiver)

Alert Umma there is a 90% chance that we will see the Jewish Dajjal in our lifetime
see esp. post #26 et seq.

3,000 Americans died on 9-11 and many more before and since -- all because some Muslims believe that the "Signs of Qiyama" are unfolding today. And you think this is a joke???

If you go to http://islamicity.com/multimedia/cybertv/ch20/default.asp?inc=2.htm and scroll down 3/4 of the way you can watch a RealPlayer version of a video called The Last Day.

The Last Day
(49 Minutes 19 Seconds) - - Zahir Ahmed - 8/21/2001
A video about Judgment Day

You have to register with Islamicity to watch the whole video.

It's pretty much standard Muslim teaching on the End Times, but it does give a short synopsis of some Signs of Qiyamah and the death of the Dajjal (treated as an individual bad guy -- not as a nation or culture, as many imams do).

The video has a very creepy fascination with skyscrapers that make you think of 9/11.

And it does drop this nugget: that God does not judge the soul upon the body's death. All souls wait in abeyance for judgment on Judgment Day at the End of Time -- that is, unless you're a martyr! Martyrs go immediately to Paradise upon death of the body, and do not have to wait in trepidation for Judgment Day like everybody else!

Why stand in line when you can go through the Express Checkout?
