Chief Investigator in Slaying of Williams Sister Says Strong Indication that Drugs, Gangs Involved
The Today Show

Matt Lauer of The Today Show just completed an interview with Daniel Rosenberg, a deputy sheriff in Los Angeles county who is in charge of the investigation into the shooting death of Yetunde Price, sister of tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams.
Toward the end of the interview, Rosenberg dropped a couple bombshells.
He said there were strong indications that gangs, and "drugs" were involved in the altercation that lead to the shooting.
He also mentioned that the person who was in the SUV with Yetunde Price when she was shot was a convicted felon, and that based on the investigation of the shooting, they determined that he had violated his parole, and that he had been arrested. It should be noted that another person has been arrested and charged in Price's death.

Now let's see. Do I applaud you for putting 2 and 2 together...or do I accuse you of racial profiling...hmmm?
Just kidding, folks.

Gads. I suppose we are going to have to put up with this breaking type news for the next few months just like the Peterson and Kobe. I regret her tragic death or anybody elses for that matter. But I'm afraid it's going to be all over the news for a long time especially if it is a slow news month. This unknown has had more news coverage than, say, John Ritter, somebody who did something in his life who affected a lot of us in a positive way.
Flame away.

If her companion was a felon, then that might be why he drove Yetunde to a friend's home in Long Beach before he took her to the hospital, where she died.
Question: If the felon would have taken her immediately to the hospital, or called 911 from the scene, would Yetunde be alive today?
