Thanks for putting up the photos Mtngrl! It looks like you had a great time, so nice to see all the FReepers...I can hardly wait until CPAC! JustAmy and Mama_Bear, big FR's Finest hostess BUMP! Also, I'm happy to hear that things went smoothly (no "ants") and hope our picnic next week will be the same. Sorry to say that I don't recognize everyone in the pictures...names- we must have names :)!

A very relaxing setting with everyone enjoying the shade. And on the very left, we have Mr. Cookie King (FReep name Diamondhead) he brought some of the best cookies I have ever had, he should market his recipe (since I have a copy of it). We want to welcome you Mr. Diamondhead and your lovely wife to our group. And on their left is the hard working,dedicated FReeper- MTNGRL and then my pretty wife (who doesn't like her picture taken)- LadyinRed- I guess I am in the doghouse again!

Then we have the Tri-tip King, JKPhoto preparing the meat for the meal. IT WAS GREAT with his patented sauce.

You can see how serious these hard working ladies are to be sure every detail was just perfect. AND IT WAS.

A really great time was had by all and no disrupters showed their ugly mugs.

And just to show you that we are not a "hate group, this docile, easy going bunch didn't even douse anyone this year. We even held off on using the water pistols, although I was tempted.(Mtngrl, I still need to talk to you about your obvious pleasure in see me get doused.

Well crap! Looks like I missed a great party. I just read the paper (Fresno Bee) and saw that there even WAS a party. (Being in Lemoore I certainly COULD have gone, too.) That's what I get for not checking FR more often and closely at home. Hate Group, indeed. I'd have just hated to eat tri-tip, meet some of you and have some fun to boot. Mrs T-T would have liked the break as well...

From another "right wing crazy" and a proud member of the hate group who feasted and fellowshipped at the hate picnic. Here we go.

#1 - The tri tip was spectacular. They auctioned off copies of the recipe but if you weren't there, you are doomed to be ignorant unless/until you attend next year's tailgate party.

#2 - This young kid from Channel 26 showed up to film us hate mongers but apparently we bored him because he left after a short while but I did see the kid interviewing jkphoto. Did anyone watch Channel 26 last night? Was jkphoto on?

#3 - We all got a big kick out of the controversy! Calling each other hate mongers and stuff. But some of us were really pissed at the outrageous injustice being done to our beloved organization.

#4 - The freeper guy who made those chocolate chip cookies should be tarred and feathered because they were so darn good! I think it was diamondhead. He is responsible for me putting on a few more pounds which I can ill afford!

#5 - I resigned as head of Fresno/Central Valley Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and we elected Mama_Bear to take my place! Yahoo!!!

#6 - We were also discussing the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger called us (supporters of Prop 54) "right wing crazies". Sheeeeeesh.

#7 - It was not nearly as hot this year as last. It was hot, don't get me wrong, but not like last year. Having it in September in Fresno is a better idea (than July).

#8 - We missed Diver Dave, CounterCounterCulture and Cool Guy! Maybe next year?

#9 - I am so proud to be a FReeper!! We had such a great time!!!

My family and I had a wonderful time. My husband was very impressed with the tri-tip. He considers him self a tri-tip lover and enjoys new ways to marinate it and BBQ it.

I saw the article in the Fresno Bee this morning and had a hoot. It is very well known that members of the HRC are closely affilated with Peace Fresno and that group knew of the effort to disrupt the rally and picnic. It is also very well known in the city gov't the nature of our rallys. It was a bald face attempt to use the race card to make FR look like a bunch of yahoos, but their plan backfired on them.

Thanks to all of you for putting on a fun event. The security was awesome, considering the threats of disruption. It is obvious why they didn't show up considering this presence:
