Terror suspect alert after a sighting in Maine

Two men wanted in connection with a FBI’s terrorism investigation may have been seen in Naples, Maine — about 30 miles from Conway, N.H.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation issued an alert Thursday that said a witness saw two men Sunday who fit the description of Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, 27, and Abderraouf Jdey, 38, two men they are seeking for questioning.

The men were reportedly headed south on Route 302 at around 4 p.m. in a newer model, slate gray BMW sedan with Massachusetts license plates.

A few leaves changing color here in Windham (about 12 miles south of Naples on 302), and it won't be long before autumn is in full swing. We'll get our leaf season tourist traffic real soon now.

New England autumns are very nice, IMO.

As for this story, what strikes me are the delays between sighting, the alert, and making the news.

I live in norhtern Maine. And one has to wonder why all the Somali's are getting a free ticket in Lewiston. And one has to wonder why the hijackers stayed in Portland over night before 9-11.

El Shukrijumah is between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-6, weighs 132 pounds and has an average build.

He has black hair, black eyes and a dark, Mediterranean complexion. El Shukrijumah occasionally wears a beard, has a pronounced nose and is asthmatic, the FBI description says. He speaks English and carries a Guyanese passport, but may also use a Saudi, Canadian, or Trinidadian passport.

He uses the aliases Adnan G. El Shukri Jumah, Abu Arif, Ja’far Al-Tayar, Jaffar Al-Tayyar, Jafar Tayar and Jaafar Al-Tayyar.

Jdey reportedly has brown hair and eyes, and an olive complexion. His height and weight are unknown. He may be using a passport issued in Montreal, Canada.

He uses the aliases Abd Al-Rauf Bin Al-Habib Bin Yousef Al-Jiddi, Abderraouf Dey, A. Raouf Jdey, Abdal Ra’Of Bin Muhammed Bin Yousef Al-Jadi, Farouq Al-Tunisi and Abderraouf Ben Habib Jeday.

The FBI said anyone with information concerning El Shukrijumah or Jdey should contact their local FBI office. The number to the FBI’s Boston headquarters is 617-742-5533. "

If you're going back to Portland anytime soon, could you possibly look in on some nervous women who live on that road that the news said the terrorists were on? They think they're about to be invaded by ra-- by-- by-- terrorists coming into their yard and, like, shooting them for owning tank tops, or something.

I hate it that our state has an underbelly like this. And all those Somali's living in Lewiston is also another worry of mine. Gov. Baldacci and Rep Allen worked with the Catholic Charities to get them in here. Now, we the tax payer have to support these people.

I don't know if there is any link to the terrorists or not, but it sure makes me go "hmmmmmmmmmmmm."
