. Younger adults are especially favorable toward the U.S., and Shiites are more admiring than Sunnis. Interestingly, Iraqi Shiites, coreligionists with Iranians, do not admire Iran's Islamist government; the U.S. is six times as popular with them as a model for governance. The media really p(*&es me off. They and the Demoncrats want Iraq to look as bad as possible, and they run the very real risk of pulling off a coup in America if they get away with this persistent, fabricated negativism.
If this poll were common knowledge, there's no way they nine dwarfs at the democrap debate could get away with what they said about Bush's handling of Iraq. But then again, who decides if something becomes common knowledge?
"How would you say things are going for the U.S. in its efforts to bring stability and order to Iraq? Would you say things are going very well, somewhat well, somewhat badly, or very badly?" |

This poll from pollingreport.com shows a steady decline in public opinion about what's going on in Iraq. The media's working hard, and they're succeeding. |

Many of us here on FR have known for a while that the Iraqii's appreciate us being there thought emails from "the front lines". If we have known it so has the "elite media", they just refuse to publicize it. Maybe now it will get some traction.

Thanks for the post. It confirms what most sane people think is going on in Iraq.

Ping Lists, anyone? Let's get this news spread across FR ... and, hopefully, eventually in the media. (I know .. I know ..... I'm being wildly optimistic about the media.)

The toughest part of reconstructing their nation, Iraqis say by 3 to 1, will be politics, not economics. They know thta they weren't "destroyed" in the war. Raising questions about this "reconstruction" money coming out of US pockets - who's it going to and for what purpose? US domestic politics?

I watched some network programming this morning (which I never do) and two women interviewers,on different channels, (one was perky Katie), was interviewing General Myers. Katie started out with the line of how this Iraqi war was falling apart, etc. He answered back strongly about how he did not agree with her premise, that we have 55,000 Iraqis working security right now up from zero... and they both interrupted him, were very rude to him, cutting him off almost as if they did not want to hear of the magnificent progress being made. Yes, I should have expected that, I really did, but it just burns me the way they can do that and get away with it. It seems they absolutely want us to fail in Iraq. That makes them gleeful. I don't know how our leaders continue to put up with their crap. It was shameful. May God protect America, her leaders and soldiers from the onslaught of negativity from these people and may the general public wake up to know what is real and what is being pronounced as real.

This is a goldmine...will be using it in writing my column about the Iraq situation in opposition to a liberal writer in the paper (I am editor, so I get to see what he wrote before publication).

Thanks for posting this.
This is more good news and evidence we did the right thing, the Iraqi people are on our side, and we will continue to gain traction and support in Iraq if we ignore the folly of the liberals.
