Dansy, What a beautiful writing for today. I remember two years ago, I was at work on the fifth floor of the SSA building in Baltimore. I remember being scared and shocked and unbelieving. I remember the way I felt like I was in a very vivid bad dream and I spent several weeks waiting to "wake up" and find it was a nightmare.
I'm right, it IS a nightmare that is real and really happened, for as long as I can remember I, like many others, just took it for granted all out freedoms and security of being surrounded by two oceans and the misguided belief that "It couldn't happen here" That is the mentality that led to folks like myself to not be prepared both mentally and physically. Now, two years later, I'm still shocked and angry and I'll never forget what those cowards did, never forget those innocent souls condemmed to a death they did not deserve.
These people did nothing wrong that day. They were doing what they have always done, that is, go to work to provide for thier families. I will never for get thier lives were cut short and the dreams they had fore themselves and for thier families will not be fullfilled because of these senseless and faceless cowards. I made up my mind to live for them!
I am also grateful we have a strong and brave President who knows how to be a leader. He did not cowar somewhere in some mountian hideout or cry crocodile tears while doing nothing like others I know of.
He took action and took measures to see that we were secure and then he went after the cowards who did this.
Another thing I want to say to all who have a birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Never feel like your birthday (s) were ruined. Remember that good things (like your birth) happened on 9/11.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO DIED THAT DAY TWO YEARS AGO
