Good observation but you are wrong. A mcclintock vote is also a recall vote. Davis is not the issue he is doomed. GONE out. The issue is bustamonte. Most votes... yes I would rather have tom vs bustamonte but that is not the case. I want the win first and then I will worry about controling arnold.

"Over the years I've learned that while it's unfortunate perception plays a very important role in campaigns/elections. I've seen this McClinock guy several times and he doesn't have "it".By it, you're talking about depth perception right? I'm mean with that straggling eye of Tom's. :^P

You're right. But, the kind of shallowness exhibited in his post is exactly what leads such a person to support an empty suit like Schwarzenegger.
To: fieldmarshaldj
I'm sorry. Aren't you guys the one who are threatening to leave and take your toys with you if you don't get your way.
Yep.

Simple. He said that he's in this to the end......and that the voters will go the way they feel. What he was saying (in effect) is that those who decide to vote for another candidate whom they feel is more likely to win will do so, if they are so inclined. I respect that.

DUDE... you are thinking speed boat.... you need to think oil tanker. This is a huge ship that will take a long so time to turn around. If you shoot all your wad now ( sorry folks) you will not get a second chance. WHY DID DAVIS WANT SIMON...? END OF STORY.

.....and it doesn't cover the portion in question......Obviously some sort of conspiracy is taking place right under our very noses.

I should add that it's only a matter of time before conservatives retake control of the CRP, and then the Parsky crowd's threats will be all the more meaningless.

To quote Vince Lombardi, "Winning is the only thing."
When your kids (or Kids you know) lose a soccer game do you tell them this also? Track and field? Why run in the NYC marathon? thousands of runners and ONE winner! What a bunch of losers. This is why the Sports clothing of the Super Bowl winning team are seen everwhere after they win. Got to have a winner!
This is not a Football Game. Its the destruction of the Republican Party's platform. And with your help this can be accomplished in the next few years.

Post 213 has only a partial transcript, without the relevant portion included. I'll ping you if they ever post the entire transcript.

your name implies you are a Bible Chair some where so lets bring it to a Biblical example. Are there times that God uses the broken pot to accomplish his will? Why not have James Dobson be govenor? Why not you? God has allowed us to use this form of Govt. to rule us. We rule it. He may punish us but we need to make the Wisest choice in the specific circumstance. Sort of like when Soloman was used to build the temple and not David..... even though Soloman turned on God... don't you think God knew that would happen?
To: Walkingfeather
Davis is not the issue he is doomed. It is way too early to say that. Davis is still the most dangerous Democrat in the state. He has won 5 statewide elections by going negative on opponents and has demonstrated that he is fully prepared to chop-block fellow Democrats (such as when he went after Feinstein in, I believe, 1992) in order to win. Given Davis' proven success at taking apart both Republican and Democratic opponents, it makes good sense for McClintock to stay in the race so that Davis can't focus all of his fire on Arnold.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that Arnold is actually being helped right now by McClintock remaining in the race because Davis is being presented with multiple targets that he is going to have to hit in order to prevail. Davis is reluctant to do this because (as even Lockhart has opined) he knows that going negative on multiple targets will lead to a backlash. However, if Davis has just one Republican target to go after, he is a cunning enough politician that he just might prevail.

That is much better than what I heard he said on Sean's radio show. I had lost respect for him if he wouldn't withdraw if it appeared he couldn't win. I feel better now!

I'd like to appologize to those whose decision to support Arnold may have been swayed by my opinion. There, I did it.

You've been posting the same adamant anti-Arnold garbage since he first announced, insisting that Arnold hadn't come out with any conservative positions. Well, he's come out with a far-enough conservative platform to earn a slew of highly respectable conservative endorsements.
Keep preaching to the choir.
