He ended up saying that no, he would not withdraw even if polling lower.

I am so sorry to read this. This has taken him down a peg or two with me, as clearly he doesn't seem to have the best interest of the state in view, and I thought he did.

Maybe you have seen this???

"Around the time of grammar school, I had this incredible desire to be recognized. . . I got the feeling I was meant to be more than just an average guy running around, that I was chosen to do something special.

"At that point, I didn't think about money. I thought about the fame, about just being the greatest. I was dreaming about being some dictator of a country or some savior like Jesus . . ."

Anyone familiar with this Arnold quote? Apparently it is from a Rolling Stone interview back in 76.

Hey, hey. That kind of talk will get you hung around here by the pitchfork carrying McCultist. You're not a true conservative unless you're willing to sacrafice the California to the Democrats. To achieve what?! We still don't know.

Lots of allegations about Ambrose being a disruptor.

Lots of kettles calling the pot black.

It may have just been a quote as Heleny suggests.

It appears to be a quote of Rick Hasen's post on blogspot.com. I followe the link and the original poster is Rick.

We all skim, and many of us don't follow all the formal writing styles when we're online. So, different people miss different details and we get all worked up over a misunderstanding.

Any Republican that votes for Davis or by omission of action votes for Bustamante should be tarred and feathered

Given a choice between Davis and Bustamante, anyone except for Bustamante's cultural seperatist following, would most likley vote for Davis.

To true, but against the Republican party and for the Democrats. He's becoming a nothing as he goes on.

He should've used quotation marks.

And you should have used some common sense.

Let's quickly clear this up and put it behind us. Answer the simple question: Are you Rick Hasen?

Yes or no.

Real simple, and it ends all the speculation and accusations.

Same to you, Mr. Hasen; you ducked several opportunities to clarify that it was a quote.

Amen, they would be no conservative at all if they threw the vote away from the Republican front-runner.

He's been posting lies and half-truths across this forum for weeks.

What lies might those be?

"Lots of kettles calling pot(s) black."

Agreed! I plead guilty to being a kettle at times. Let's see if any pots can own-up?

He's not impressing me right now. I don't like his tone

I hesitate to get into this fight, I have seen how these threads go. But your comment intrigued me as yesterday one of our local talk show hosts, a fairly conservative one, said that he knew Tom and that he always found him to be arrogant and far too unwilling to listen to anyone else's viewpoint. For that reason, he is unwilling to support him. This is just his opinion, but this host is a former Peabody award winning investigative reporter who is very well respected.

Given a choice between Davis and Bustamante,

What kind of choice is that?

Would you like to be shot once in the head? Or twice?

No thanks. When the time comes I'll vote Arnie (though I vehemently disagree with him on many social issues) and I won't give it a second thought.

No, 'chancy' is whatever he fancies himself as, - in whatever particular harbor he finds himself.
Here on FR he pretends at being conservative.
