As below, so above. Hopefully.
Think the American people could follow suit, if it was a referendum?

That "God wants you to pay more taxes" ploy was pretty cheesy.

Riley turned out to be another RINO in disguise just
like Sundquist in Tn, and Martinez in Fl. I hope the
voters will deal with him the way they dealt with the
other turncoats.

I tried a "God wants you to send me money" scam when I was in college and it didn't work.
It works for some televangelists, though.

And it came to pass that gleeful snickering erupted...

"Well, what the hell do you want me to do? I told them they need a tax increase."

Good, now what are we to do about the elected rino's in Virginia trying to give interstate 81 away, are that is a couple of businesses are trying to seal a highway bought and paid for by the tax payers.

Goodbye Governor Riley, hello Governor Moore. :-} No doubt, Walsh. That's what this "rock" fiasco was all about.

No doubt, Walsh. That's what this "rock" fiasco was all about. What a total nightmare that would be for decent people in Alabama.

Just finished watching Riley's "concession" speech. He seemed to be almost giddy about the proposal losing. I don't ever remember someone being so upbeat when something of theirs got trounced so soundly (Now 68-32 no with 73% reporting).
Riley was very upbeat, and said "Alabama voted and their vote was quite clear - They want smaller Government, and until the government is smaller and more accountable don't come back to us with your hand out."
I would swear it is as if he is actually happy that this amendment was defeated.
