I just have to see President Bush to know that the world is a better place because of his presidency.

YOU DEMEAN THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DIED TO GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO VOTE!Ditto that. No matter what, you must vote, even if you have to hold your nose. I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time, but try to look at the big picture and figure out which candidate will have all of the country's best interests at heart.

Exactly! I think if another 'RAT ends up as Prez ... I may never leave my house! That may not be good enough. There are a lot who talk about "moving out of the country" who never do, but I am at least considering options -- given that some of my family have lived abroad for extended periods of time.

There are two Islams. There is the Islam of al-Andalus which gave us one of the greatest civilizations in history marked by some of the most advanced medical research until modern time, and then sadly, there is the Islam of most of the Islamic world today. The Qu'ran is no more violent in its teachings than the Christian Bible, especially the first part, although I admit that it is easier to interpret in ways conducive to extremists.

I know you support the war. And I think all of us at one time or another have wondered about the seemingly double standard applied to Israel as it applies to terrorism.
There is an answer there somewhere, but this probably isn't the thread for it. And I'm not the person to provide it because I'll admit to being confused as well.

Well, my guess is that it's the word that most appropriately describes the men AND women who are serving in our military.
Regardless of where one comes down on the issue, or the terminology, it's an appropriate word, and, I'm sorry, it's silly to worry about why he used it......

President Bush will address the UN this month. The message will be even stronger there. And I fully expect the WMD report very soon too.

You can see and smell the desperation and fear all over this administration. Are you trying to make us laugh on purpose or what?
It's the Dems and the liberal media who are obsessed with fear and desperation when it comes to Bush.
They are flailing at him like children throwing a tantrum.
Bush looks strong and self assured compared to them.

Without our beloved soldiers, we would not enjoy the lives we have today. We can never adequately repay you; if we could it would be gobs and gobs of $$!
In the interim, the best we can do is fly our flags proudly and support you and pray for you and live our lives well.

Howlin, thanks for the ping. We watched the entire address - he was on-course, and effective, so much so, that the Dems are shrieking already.

YOU DEMEAN THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DIED TO GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO VOTE! And liberals and 'conservatives' (not real conservatives) demean the memory of those who died to give us this nation by the very act of how this nation is now run. I'm sure no one, except maybe the king worshipper Hamilton, wanted this nation to become what it has, domestically and on the foreign front. But I agree, their deaths gave me the right to vote. And as I said in post 650, I will vote in 2004 as I have every year I have been able since I was 18. It just may not be the straight R ticket anymore. May have a few Cs in there
