[history]
The two leading candidates vying to replace Gov. Gray Davis (search) are taking aim at another issue on the Oct. 7 recall ballot: Proposition 54 (search), which seeks to limit what racial data the government can collect.
Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante (search) was expected to announce Sunday that he would pour nearly $4 million into a campaign to defeat the measure. And Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger (search), who previously refused to take a position on the measure, said Saturday he opposed it.

Can you imagine where we'd be if Tom had dropped out weeks ago like the (R)nold crowd demanded back then?

THE RACIAL PRIVACY INITIATIVE: WHY I SUPPORT IT AND WHY YOU SHOULD, TOO
By Ward Connerly, Chairman, RPI campaign The ballot initiative known as the Racial Privacy Initiative (RPI), which will appear before California voters in the next statewide election, is a subject of debate for many informed Californians, as it should be. The most salient clause of the initiative reads: The state shall not classify any individual by race, ethnicity, color or national origin in the operation of public education, public contracting or public employment.
That sentence makes clear the initiatives goal: to take state government out of the racial classification business, thus moving us one step closer to a color-blind government

McClintock: "I strongly support Proposition 54. I believe our government should be colorblind. I don't believe that a person's skin color should determine how their government treats them."
Once again, Schwarzenegger and Bustamante crawl into the same bed.

And why is it exactly that we are supposed to support Arnold???So his twin, Cruz doesn't get elected.
So far that is all that I have heard for a reason to support Arnold.

Bustamante leads in most polls among the 135 candidates vying to replace Davis if the governor is recalled. Schwarzenegger leads among the Republicans. What polls? He led Schwarzenegger in that LA Times fiasco, with push poll comments. He trailed Schwarzenegger by a lot in the only other public poll that simply asked who the voter would vote for, with no qualifiers. Most polls? Barbara Streisand!

It's become painfully obvious that there's three main choices on the ballot:
Cruz Bustamente (D)
Arnold Shriver (D)
Tom McClintock (R)

Both McClintock and Connerly are running underfunded campaigns
We on the right should put our money to work for our convictions, and to save our state.

Bye, bye Schwarzenegeger.
That was the last straw.
I can't see any difference between Schwarzenegger and a typical liberal and some of his moves (Prop 49) are utopian.
