Hi all,
With help from my son we passed out about exactly 180 fliers to those at the rally. We made up 200 of them for exactly $5.79. This is a great issue folks, most folks we talked to were not aware of the "Unintended Consequences" of SB 60 Which Davis signed this evening.
I gave extended information to the following Press:
Christian Science Monitor
San Diego Union-Tribune
Press-Enterprise
The Californian
A few others with the proper notepads or cameras.
California Republican Assembly
Senator Tom McClintock
Senator Hollingsworth
Tony Strickland (running against Barbara Boxer for US Senate)
Michael Naggar Mayor Pro-Tem of Temecula
I gave a couple interviews. One with the San Diego Tribune, and talked with a reporter from The Press Enterprise.
When I spoke with Senator McClintock, I had him for the longest, and the press had all their microphones and cameras at us.
But the biggest surprise was when I asked to have my picture taken with him. Apparently the press there had read or listened to the conversation I had with him earlier, and they took a ton of photos of the two of us.
I'll let you know if any show up. I doubt it, since their were some kids there.
My fear is that now that this bill has been signed into law, they will enact more laws for law abiding citizens instead of removing SB 60.
He didn't bring up my issue in the speech, but he did stick my info in his pocket and replied to me that "I had a good point and he had not thought of this issue that way".
My son said he enjoyed it, and hopefully we will have our pictures with the next Governor of California.
Regards,
Joe

DAVIS TO ALLOW illegal aliens to Buy Guns Dump Governor Davis, and here is the biggest reason why. I have not seen this issue raised anywhere but through my website, AboutPolitics.net.
Governor Davis will sign into Law a bill that will allow illegal aliens to get a Drivers License. HOW STUPID IS THAT- What that means is any terrorist, that once in California, gets a Drivers license very easily, can then go BUY GUNS. This is a national security issue that affects all California citizens, as well as our nation.
From the California DOJ website located here:
http://caag.state.ca.us/firearms/pubfaqs.htm
2. What is the process for purchasing a firearm in California?
All firearms purchases and transfers, including private party transactions and sales at gun shows, must be made through a licensed dealer under the Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) process. California imposes a 10-day waiting period before a firearm can be released to a buyer or transferee. A person must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or shotgun. To buy a handgun, a person must be at least 21 years of age, and either 1) possess an HSC plus successfully complete a safety demonstration with the handgun being purchased or 2) qualify for an HSC exemption.
As part of the DROS process, the buyer must present "clear evidence of identity and age" which is defined as a valid, non-expired California Driver's License or Identification Card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. A military identification accompanied by permanent duty station orders indicating a posting in California is also acceptable.
(PC Section 12071) "
The DROS (dealers record of sales of firearms), asks if you are a citizen, here is what the bottom of the DROS states:
(FALSIFICATION OF INFORMATION ON THIS FORM IS A MISDEMEANOR (PENAL CODE 12076)
Ask Governor Davis how many people have been prosecuted in 2002 for falsifying the DROS form. Makes you wonder, huh?
No longer will Social Security Numbers be required on drivers Licenses because of this bill, that Governor Davis signed, Which means when the DOJ does a check, it will most likely show up no record at all, which means the illegal alien gets the gun.
Share this information with your relatives, friends, neighbors, and loved ones immediately.

1991 - Saddam burns oil fields during Gulf War I retreat.
2003 - Davis signs illegals' driving license bill during recall defeat.
Davis should be recalled again for this act alone.

Now the socialist legislators are working on a bill that will require businesses to pay for and provide mandatory health care insurance for all of their employees.
California businesses are holding on by mere threads. Every business my family is connected with is in a financial crisis position. Ask anyone who knows people who work for CPA firms who see the conditions of other businesses to tell you how really bad it is.
The socialist bent legislators in California are engaging in "the final solution" to punish and destroy the free enterprize system throughout the state. This group of anti-business legislators should be impeached for their gross negligence. This is not a hollow sentiment. Our survival depends upon it.

What an underwhelming crowd in a state with some 13 million registered voters.
Gary Coleman would get a bigger draw.

I agree. With only 4 weeks to go until the election, this is certainly a disappointing show for TM. He'll never gain the momentum. It's sad, but true. Let's hope Arnold gives him a prominent place on staff and Tom steps aside, for everyone's sake.

At this point, he's directed too much crap at the Schwarzenegger camp, and violated the 11th comandment in a non-primary election (which Schwarzenegger has scrupulously held to). After Arnold wins, McClintock may well find himself so deep in the doghouse that he'll get no executive lobbying for anything he wants on the legislative agenda.
I know thats how I'd treat him.

Here is another interesting aspect (besides the fact that only 300 showed up for an allegedly major candidate - and that is, when looking at the few pics, you tend to see only white guys. There is a remarkable dearth of women, blacks and hispanics.
Crossover is necessary, but it just ain't gonna happen in his campaign.

Typical lefty crap when legitimacy is conferred by race. Frankly you must be as nuts as any far out lefty when you write crap like that. Hell for that matter the 82nd Airborne must be illegitimate because they sure as hell do not reflect the population of El Lay when I see their pictures.

Lemme repeat these ratios for you, junta. 6.5 million registered Democrats, 150K registered Greens, 5 million registered Republicans, and over 2 million registered Independents.
If Tom McClintock is running a hard right wing conservative campaign and drawing mostly white guys, then how does the calculus work to come up with winning ratios among the suburban managerial class, urban blue collars, and women - groups he HAS to do well with to win, including significant crossover from Dems and Inds?

By attacking the myths of Liberalism, destroying the taboos of PC, and challenging the ethos of the liberal delusion. Reagan challenged the liberal assumption that Communism was our future and that America was evil and destroyed Carter and Mondale who gulped the liberal kool-aid of their day. Wilson poked liberalism in the eye in 1994 and swept the day, and it is called leadership and when Wilson's career depended on it he exuded it. Liberalism is a dying ideology I just wish conservatives would wake up to that fact.

I know. If McClintock's candidacy results in a split vote installing Cruz Bustamante as Governor, his career in California Repubican politics is over. That's why I don't understand why the Party Leadership doesn't take control of this. I've said on another thread that when the Reps call me for donations, etc. I tell them that when they start acting like a party, I will contribute my money and time. What? I'm going to walk the precincts to insure Bustamante. Hell, I'd rather have Davis. The more I think about it, the angrier I get.

Yea, that'll work alright! Pssst, if he is able to get such a ridiculous bill passed, mention Minnesota for an alternative for business relocation!
Does "Grayout" have ANY comprehension at all of what keeps this country strong?
Has he a clue about anything outside of his "Government world"?

You're right Hildy, a vote for McClintock will be a vote for Bustamante. You think Davis is bad wait until you get Bustamente. I'm a latina, I know. You might as well kiss California good bye. It is going back to Mexico. I wish conservative - republicans think with their head instead of their heart. How many more democrats does CA. has... 1 Million? McClintock doesn't have a chance, Arnold does. Many democrats and independents I know are voting for Arnold; they don't like Davis or Bustamente. I don't care how qualified Mc. is, he won't make it. I'm not wasting my vote. I'm voting for Arnold and so is every one in my family. Davis is bad, Bustamante is worse and Arnold is not that bad.

The foremost principle should be to ensure that Cruz Bustamante does not become Governor, and that can ONLY be accomplished by getting Arnold elected.
