Some "answer".

It was an answer, so four of your paragraphs are meaningless.
You copied and pasted my question to you and again didn't answer...

What have they accomplished?

I think a Bustamante supporter is lurking here.

There's plenty...and they support Tom.
I'm voting Arnold.

Actually that vile racist "la raza" organization is found all over the west coast.

University of Oregon has a website devoted to their TAXPAYER FUNDED MEChA organization.

Unlike some of the less-informed contributors to this thread (cough, *PRND21*, cough),

Again, what have they accomplished? Why do you fear them?

Actually that vile racist "la raza" organization is found all over the west coast.

They have to bus in members from over 100 miles away for a good photo-op in SoCal, otherwise they look pretty damn pathetic.

They're about as numerous as the militia whackos. And about as big a threat to the Republic.

Is it worth time and effort to investigate Bustamante's possible ties to MeCHA? Or is there sufficient probable cause for voting against the guy as it stands already?

And they have to round up every swinging richard (or Ricardo) from 100 miles around to get a suitably-impressive crowd for their photo opportunities agitprop rallies. I guess that most of their funds wind up going to bus charter companies.

They have a finely honed sense for looking much larger than they actually are.

The more I look at MECHA and some of these hard-line immigration "reform" groups, the more I'm convinced both are "sound and fury, signifying nothing."

"Is it worth time and effort to investigate Bustamante's possible ties to MeCHA? Or is there sufficient probable cause for voting against the guy as it stands already?"

I don't live in California, I live in Nevada. My interest in MEChA is piqued by the Bustamante connection, because I didn't know they had that sort of influence in the government.

But my interest in MEChA and the Aztlan "reconquista" movement neither begins nor ends with Bustamante. There is apparently much more to it than the recall election, and I think the matter warrants some scrutiny.

No, I'm not selling the house and auctioning off my possessions to fund a MEChA witchhunt, but I think it makes sense to find out what these organizations are doing to advance their stated goals, and who is helping them to do it.

If that is true then it should be a simple matter to clean up their philisophy and clear the record on their mission, goals and activities. Unfortunately for them, on every website I have looked at (couple of dozen), they clearly state their racist position and desire to reclaim what is their's.

To not expect them to be accountable for their words is demeaning to them.

"Again, what have they accomplished? Why do you fear them?"

Why do you fear investigation of them? Why does this matter so much to you that you are trolling this thread, instead of doing something more constructive with your time?

Yeah, but I'll be quite honest, I'm not too sure I like a lot of the rhetoric that comes from the immigration reform crowd, either.

I'm just about at the point of declaring a pox on both houses.

Why do you fear investigation of them?

I don't. Cruz is beatable on his record.
You still haven't answered my question because they have accomplished NOTHING.

They seem to have a purpose for you...
I see you're posting Atzlan graphics and fear mongering on other threads.
What's up, Blogger? Or FRogger?

If that is true then it should be a simple matter to clean up their philisophy and clear the record on their mission, goals and activities.

Philosophy: stupid and evil.

Mission: high-order ones not achievable due to delusions of grandeur. Low-order ones consist of meeting other persons of (usually) opposite gender who are away from home for the first time and willing to cast off those "bourgeouis" notions of morality their parents yammer about.

Goals: see Mission.

Activities: renting lots of buses to move from rally to rally so that they look like a bigger group than they really are (the chess club at some CSUs is bigger than the local MeChA outfit), appearing at rallies (if the TV cameras show up), and intellectual onanism.
