Gnarly-Davidson would have to run a 30-minute infomercial in prime time on all three networks showing live kittens being put into a Cuisinart set to frappe' to screw up their marketing any worse than they did during their AMF days.

BARBIE® Harley Davidson Series

Pretty cool! You can even see the little track marks on his arms.

Homos are reported as between 3% and 10% of the population. 10% is a puffer's dream. I believe the lower, but I live in North Dallas, as queer as San Fran or South Florida, especially in the market and retail industries. Forget asking for a HIV negative waiter.

As to marketing to homos, without the negative cash flow of rearing children, they tend to buy fashion in big ticket items, much more than their normal brothers and sisters.

I believe more male marketing students are homos than normals, at least that was my observation at UT @ Austin years ago. They think that normals want to be more like them. So far they may be correct. TV sure is pitching that line.

Not my cup of tea, but you're right. They would've made more sense and probably would've kept the crowd from disappearing.

Oh good grief, this is all I need.

I've got enough anti-smoker fanatics attacting me for being a low-life biker chick who hangs out with motorcycle gangs.

And I won't even get on a motorcycle - they scare the bejeesus out of me.

Memo to Harley-Davidson marketing and promotion:

If you need to have a gay headliner, go for Rob Halford. He's a hard rocker, he likes Harleys, and a whole bleepload of the crowd is going to want to know where to get leathers like his.

Shoulda had ZZ TOP!

I saw ZZ Top many years ago when they were the opening act for Alice Cooper. 3 guys on stage and they were killer.

At the time, I'd never heard of them (nor had anyone in the group I went to the concert with), but we knew enough to know these guys were dynamite.

...that's what I'm talkin' about. That dude rides on stage and launches into the show...forget it, they'd have loved him.

My brother used to listen to them jam out at Lake Benbrook in Texas in the early 60s before they became famous. I wasn't old enough at the time to appreciate them, but he was.

What WERE they thinking? Who's gonna get fired tomorrow? And who knew Elton was so hot for bikers, he is, and you correctly say, a Romantic. {Jocon307}

'Candle in the Wind' for bikers? What the hell were they thinking? {flashbunny}

courting homosexuals {F.J.Mitchell}

Maybe Harley Davidson could make a specially painted pink motorcycle {Paleo Conservative}

I can't imagine a bit important outfit like HD doing anything without absolute certitude in the effects of its marketing ploys. {dasboot}

Y'all don't get it. Harley Davidson has been courtin' homosexuals for years. As far back as '93, HD was listed in Ed Mickens' book, THE 100 BEST COMPANIES FOR GAY MEN & LESBIANS.

This decision didn't come out of leftfield. Harley Davidson is leftfield. Their Human Resources has long been sold out to the Gaystapo's corporate takeover.

I think I feel icky now.

How do the Hell's Angels feel about this?

Guess I'll tell hubby he was right, his dream bike has always been a beemer.

Human resources is a ghetto at least as destructive as any other ghetto that has ever been created.

But, for all that, thanks for the adament explanation.

Willie G. Davidson probably picked Elton to appear. I always thought Willie G. was a fag.
Been riding for 45 years and what I see riding now is almost enough to make me stop. You wont see a biker hangin around at a Harley shop they go to aftermarket places where they are appreciated, The Harley shops have a license to steal and thats what they do.They are Boutiques for queers and T-shirt fanatics.

I just can't imagine outlaw bikers complaining about long lines at the portapots and then going out for an Italian dinner with red wine.

Harley has gone mainstream for sure. Well, they're still beautiful.
