Have I told you lately that I love you.. ;)

Have I told you lately that I love you....  ;)

How is it that we can go through life taking for granted all of those wonderful people that make life worth living, without ever telling them?

How could we be so distracted that we overlook the importance of the devotion, caring, and warmth that our loved ones provide?

What would you do if tomorrow they were simply gone, vanished ..forevere..?  How would you feel?   What was the last thing you said to them?  What would you say to bring them back? What would you do differently?

What if I told you that it isn't too late to say what you really feel to all of the special people that make such a difference in your world.....

...and to all of those special souls that are waiting for us...

Tell them... tell them now...

Have I told you.. how much I love you Freepers..

well, just in case.. I'm telling you now... I love you.... sealed with a kiss

Don't know you a bit but it sounds like your son hit the jackpot being lucky enough to have you as his father.

That is why he will be just fine no matter what life serves him up.

"I buried my younger brother yesterday...and I thought about what I had last said to him."

I am so very sorry, blam. Thoughts are with you and your family. Lost my youngest brother when he was 20. Last time I saw him, he was home from college for the weekend, I will always treasure his last words to me "I love you so much, always be happy". I think of him everyday and I know he is in Heaven.

Great thread Carlo3b, freeper hugs to ya.

My family is Italian - Favazza. From Memphis.

In 1967, when I was 1, my paw-paw and nanny sent their only son off to the Drake Relays in Ohio. My uncle Mike ran the mile relay and the whole track/field team from LSU went.

On the way back, the pilot had a heart attack and ditched the plane, killing everyone on board.

Mike traveled often so there was no unusual 'I love you's.

Never fail to treat a moment as though it could be the last. My nanny was in Acapulco when the plane crashed; that's how 'sure' she was everything was OK.

It is hard when they grow up, Carlo. They'll always be your bunnies, but they have to move on. The only thing at this point is to look forward to your grandkids, and having raising your kids right, you should have some very interesting little chefs in the future!

Lost my Dad when I was seven. Lost my brother about ten years ago. Miss them both. I can't remember a day that goes by when I fail to think about them.

Hug your kids. Tell your brother or sister that you love them. We are not given any guarantees.

I buried my younger brother yesterday...and I thought about what I had last said to him.

Blam, remember about all the good times, all the hard times shared together, all the times you laughed out loud together. That's what counts. Life doesn't come down to one last meeting between family.

blam, I lost a brother, too...with no real warning, and no real opportunity to tell him how much I loved him. In my case, I had mailed him a card that never was opened - we found it slid under the door of his apartment, probably delivered a day after he disappeared.

I know what losing a sibling is like. (I've lost two, and I'm only 43.)

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through it.

"Hug your kids. Tell your brother or sister that you love them. We are not given any guarantees."

Thankfully, they know. Can relate to you having lost your Dad at a young age, I did too. I realized at a young age that there are no guarantees, my family and friends know how much I love them.

Sorry about the loss of your Dad and your brother.

Will one day meet up with my Dad, Mom and brother, and what a joyous reunion that will be :-)

Two of my children are moving into their own apartments next week.

The other one has joined the Nat'l. Guard and will be leaving for basic training in Nov.

You can bet I am cherishing these last few days of having the whole "gang" around..........

Outstanding Carlo. Every visit from our kids gets a good-by hug and "I Love You" - even the sons-in-law.

Another of Life's Precious Moments...

I was a teenager when Hank came out with that song and put many a dine in the Juke Box at the soda fountain in the little town of San Joaquin Ca.

A few years ago my wife made me read Leo Bascalias early books and since that day I do not hesitate to tell family and close friends that I love them. You sound like a Bascalia kind of guy :-)
