Have I told you lately that I love you.... ;)
How is it that we can go through life taking for granted all of those wonderful people that make life worth living, without ever telling them? How could we be so distracted that we overlook the importance of the devotion, caring, and warmth that our loved ones provide?
What would you do if tomorrow they were simply gone, vanished ..forevere..? How would you feel? What was the last thing you said to them? What would you say to bring them back? What would you do differently?
What if I told you that it isn't too late to say what you really feel to all of the special people that make such a difference in your world.....
...and to all of those special souls that are waiting for us...
Tell them... tell them now...
Have I told you.. how much I love you Freepers..
well, just in case.. I'm telling you now... I love you.... sealed with a kiss

Can't have too much love. I kiss my sons hello and goodbye, and they are teenagers, but their dad won't kiss them anymore, says they are too old.
Seems like things are more complicated when you are a guy.
I miss my grandmothers all the time. Wish I could have them back.
Wish my kids had met them. Wish my kids had met my husband's parents, too, and his grandmother.
So, you're right. Give lots of love, never pass up an opportunity to say "I love you," and do the little things they ask you to do.

I lost a brother a long time ago and think about him every day. I feel he is with me in spirit, in God's hands. My prayers are with you.
Ever since 9/11 nobody in this family parts without an "I love you". Life is too short for anything else.

Oh Carlo, I love that song and must admit I have a very warm spot for you.
it's the price he has to pay for having an old Italian dad.. And how fortunate he is to have an affectionate dad. This Italian mom is desperately trying to hold it together as we get ready to bring my son to college tomorrow morning. Everyone says he will be just fine but try telling it to someone who catered to his every whim, whether he objected to it or not. My heart is so very heavy and the timing of your post was so needed...
Have I told you lately that I love you.... well darling I'm telling you now.

Gee wiz, man! I'm trying not to be a sentimental 90's guy, but you just ruined all that!
But I love you guys and gals, too. God bless all of you!
Thanks, Carlo.

What a wonderful Dad you are. My son lives 6 hours away from me and it so hard for us to visit as he is a ministers, and ministers do not get weekends off. Thank you for these wonderful words, you have made my evening. You have put a big smile on my face.
Grateful for the smile.....conservativeammon

BTW, the men in my family kiss when they greet one another and when they say goodbye and always with the "I Love You". Took awhile for my Irish husband to get used to it but now he's the first to pucker up.

You're not alone. My kids are 20 and 23, and we NEVER fail to hug, kiss, and say "I love you".
When you launch them into the world for longer than a weekend is really tough, but the weekends away prepare you for it.
You'll be ok, Dad - we raise them to be responsible adults. *sigh* Then, they become responsible adults and leave the nest. However, they become your best friends in the process!

Very important words and ones that go unsaid too often. Thanks for the reminder.

Love means never having to say you're sorry.
A salute of the wine glass to you, Carlo!
