Once again, MTV throws wild party
MSNBC ^

Posted on 08/29/2003 11:17:36 AM PDT by jeremiah'sdaughter

I am so disgusted with our society, where everything's accepted and nothing is sacred. The article about Britney Spears and Madonna at the MTV music awards is just one of the examples that we have lost all morals and now are on a down hill slope to rock bottom. I saw this article and it sent me over the edge. Have all women lost complete respect for themselves??? This is surely the devils playground.

Honest, I think the kiss of death (pun intended) when the kiddies find out that Madonna is like 46 years old!!!

Well when your music is absolute crap and you got no talent, how do you get attention? Do shocking stuff, if you can call lesbian kissing shocking. To me it`s boring and something I can see at the local strip bar. Hey, not to sound like some sort of male pig, but I might be a tad more interested if I was alone in a back room with those chicks naked, although I could probably do without that skank Madonna. But, this is what Empty-V is all about, sight over sound. It has nothing to do with music and never did. The real tragedy here is people paying attention to anythi9ng having to do with this abortion of a company. MTV has done more damage to the quality of music than anything else since the beginning of mankind (hey, even those guys 200 300 years ago had good music)I mean, are there people who actually exist in this world who think that Christina Bimbos song "I am beautiful" is a good song? I was in a supermarket the first time I heard that pretentious piece of crap and almost gagged. My god, I think my 6 year old niece could write a more honest song. I could just see the schmuck who wrote that crap "yeah yeah..Uhh that'll sell! yeah yeah!" I use to be an audio engineer until I got fed up with it, but what basically happens when you record a song is you do it in pieces. Most people think a band plays it, 1-2-3, but that`s not the case at all. Everything is recorded seperately and it takes forever! So what happens is you hear the same song over and over and over and over, sometimes in a "block session" which can be sometimes 14 hours straight, and my god, I don`t know how those guys can take it with crap songs like that. And then to top it off you gotta deal with the ego which drives you absolutely nuts!! They`re just absolute assholes, corporate whores who think they matter when in all actuality they`re people without honor and I`d sooner treat them as spitoons than deal with that crap. The record industry is on it`s way out much like the vinyl record. As tech gets more advanced, you`ll see more and more independents take the place of these mega corps and sell recordings right off the internet without this showboating and butt kissing and the white Justin Timberlakes who wear muslim type wool hats in the summer because they want to look black because they lack any credibility. And please God, it can`t happen fast enough for me!

Why don't you take up volunteer work, or knitting, or masturbation, or building a model of the World Trade Center out of used toothpicks?

Wow. Who stole your password? (This sort of slam seems out of character for you.) If you enjoyed seeing Madonna kissing girls half her age, just say so.

Johnny Cash did win one 2003 video music award last night in a technical category.

He was too sick in Nashville with a stomach ailment to attend.

Because parents don't want their kids to grow up to be tramps

I beg to differ. I mall-walk every day at lunch and I constantly see little girls, some as young as 10 or so (near as I can tell) who are totally slutted out -- short short skirts, training bra straps under torn or short-short t-shirts, etc. Invariaby, these girls are with their Mothers -- usually late-20s to early 40s -- who don't seem to care and are helping buy these slutty outfits (some stores only sell these types of clothes.

I don't think I am a prude when I say that little girls should NOT be dressed like the tramps on MTV last night. It is not fair since it robs them of their youth.

LOL!! That expression on that talentless hack is almost worth the damage done by this spectacle. Thanks!

I see them also and but I also see mothers that refuse to buy those cloths.

I'm not saying we parents don't have battles with the our kids over cloths .. but there comes a time when parents should act like adults and say No.

If these kids don't have any self respect for themselves .. they will never learn to show respect for others

And having a daughter or a son that dresses like a tramp and curses like a truck driver (nothing against truck drivers, but you know what I mean) .. then they will go through life with no respect

I remember when my daughter, probably about age 9 or so, wanted to get a Madonna CD. I told her I wouldn't use my money to support a tramp like that. *LOL* You should have seen the looks I got from other around us.

Actually, that's EXACTLY the reason they have stated, but the sick leftist freaks in the media and entertainment industry want to ignore that fact and blame it on our "wealth and indifference". Well, pi$$ on them and the iSLAMofacists.

The funny thing is that when one preacher or another suggests that America set itself up for this attack by kicking God out and inviting Sodom and Gonorrah in, they get attacked, vilified and lambasted in the strongest of terms. I guess they hit a nerve, didn't they?

You are right but I think in the minority. The idea of self-respect is lost on these people. They confuse "self-esteem" and self-respect and end up having neither.

Most women find other women attractive - because, well...we are. Ya all just don't want to admit it. So, just go ahead and buy Cosmo and look at the ads.

I'll bet you're a real master of #3.

I was, but moved on to women 40 years ago.

Is this the hottest response I get from the infamous Flaming Deb?
People have been warning me to watch out for you for two years, now I wonder why.
