Did Britney and Christina expect quite such a slobbering expression of gratitude from Madonna at last night's MTV Video Music Awards?

...the 45-year-old Queen of Pop foisted lingering, open-mouthed kisses on the pretenders to her throne. Britters and Aggers were together to perform an ironic Like A Virgin, the song with which Madonna kicked off the MTV awards way back in 1984.

The pair were decked out in the same kind of white wedding dress worn by Madonna for that seminal performance, writhing around on stage like good 'uns. Then Her Madge appeared, dressed in black, and greeted her tribute-payers with a bit of Material Girl on girl action, tongues and all.

My theory is based purely on genetics. Men are more visually aroused than women (hence, our attraction to physical characteristics). Women tend to be more attracted to social and economic status, not looks, and are thus repulsed by the idea of homo sex appeal. However, when men see two lovely women, it's like a sensory overload of the physical characteristics we desire in a mate.

This is nothing more than the last gasp of the Liberal Hollywood Left(look I am tounge kissing another girl), if it had been on mainstream TV then we would have a right to be shocked but this is MTV, so no need to get bended out of shape on this one just turn off MTV and all its sister networks as well as botcott the GAP and they will finally go away. We have elections and expanding out base to worry about not a wash up singer and former bubble gum queen.

I just left a message on The Gap's US President's voicemail. His name is Gary P. Muto. He has a pronounced lisp, go figure, and you, too, get to FREEP him. Just dial 1-800-333-7899, when the menu driven voice prompts you to locate the party by name, key in 6886, which spells his name. And, btw, let him know he's been FREEPED, ok? I think that Madonna thinks that everyone else thinks that she is as young as Brittney and Christina Aguslutta.

I work in NYC and me, being the dumb luddite that I can be had no idea that the music awards are going on. I usually take my train from under Rockefeller Center and as I'm walking there I see hundreds of screaming teenagers and I ask a cop "what's going on?" and he looks at me like I'm nuts.

I can accept that. Certainly men like visuals. I guess that's what I meant by voyeurism. Men, much more than women, like to watch.

Problem is, when the bar is lowered in cable, it makes its way to the Networks one year later. They lose audience to cable and, in an effort to regain share, mimic what cable does. I worked in TV land and know whereof I speak. Not that working there has to inform anyone of that, it's pretty obvious we've got a trickle down effect going on here starting with hard-core porn and ooozing everything else right into the gutter. Clearly, pop culture is much changed within merely the last five years. V's wife.
