Do you have your own website or know someone who does? ArnoldGovernor.net is trying to move up the ladder on the search engines so we can inform as many people as possible about Arnold's credentials and message. We're looking to do a link exchange with as many sites as possible. If you have a site, please write me at bob@arnoldgovernor.net .
Your help is much appreciated. Let's spread the good word about Arnold as much as possible.
I had the exact same position as you did up until yesterday.
Now, I am all but convinced it's Bustamante's Aztlan Raiders or Arnold's Power Team.
I'll have to go with the latter.
The media blitz has already decided who will be in the race.
You know as well as I do sheeples don't go with the issues, they go with the hype and who CNN and Fox gives more aire time to.
50% of California voters are Democrats. Republicans win only by mistake (not theirs, when the Dems don't show up at the voting booths).
However, 68% say Gray needs to go, and well over 50% say they want Arnold to take his place.
The Rinos have spoken.
Give Arhnuld a break. Sure, he was a pervert. So were the large majority of young men (he was 29 when the Gold's party happened) of the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's.
I've been studying Arhnuld closely. I wouldn't have ever trusted my daughter to stay over a single night in the White House when Bill Clinton was living there.
I would trust Arnold though. I think he's as genuine as we can expect in the circumstances.
The People of California connect with him. And he (at least for the large part) connects with George Bush.
IMHO, the Dems would love to see a Republican inherit the nightmare Gray Davis is about to hand over to some unlucky winner.
Arnold has bit off a big piece of the bullet. He is by far and away the front runner in either party.
At this point, all we can do is wish him the best and hope for the best once he become gubbner.
And, as you probably know but can't tell from this thread, there are lots of us Arnold supporters on FR, but the anti-Arnold gang, mostly from out of state, make it a point to get on every Arnold thread and screech the same things over and over.
Strangers get swung over here from hits on Google... conservatives and potential conservatives. If one of the first things they see on a page is a pile of silly gibberish, there is less chance they'll hang out and explore. I thought everyone here WANTED more politically engaged conservatives... guess I was wrong.
But you knew that, didn't you...
Are you a detective?
Let me get my momma on the phone . . .
BUSTEMANTE'S MILITARY SERVICE TRACKED DOWN
- MEChA is an acronym for Moviemiento Estudiantil Chicano de AZTLAN (Chicano Student Movement).
- AZTLAN refers to the U.S. southwestern states which MEChA claims were stolen from Mexico (disclaiming the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, $15 million paid, etc.), must be reconquered ("Reconquista") and reclaimed for Mexico.
- MEChA was founded for the sole purpose of infiltrating our educational system and, by lies and propaganda, literally "brainwashing" students with anti-American sentiment, hate and violence with the ultimate goal of revolution and the overthrow of the U.S. government.
- The first MEChA chapter was established in 1969 on the U.C. Santa Barbara campus as "El Plan de Aztlan".
- MEChA is a growing and increasingly militant Chicano presence on university, high school and junior high school campuses. According to MIGUEL CARILLO, a Chula Vista HS teacher, there are MEChA chapters at over 90% of the high schools in San Diego and Los Angeles.
- MEChA receives tax funds. Per UCLA's JACQELINE CARRASCO, "Most chapters get their budget from the (tax funded) schools and sometimes from the associated students. Funds range from $100 to $8000 for larger schools such as Cal State Northridge".
- Anti-American literature is published on multiple campuses featuring MEChA material. Some include El Popo, Aztlan News, Chispas, Gente de Aztlan (UCLA heros are Che Guevera, Augusto Cesar Sandino, Simon Bolivar and Salvadoran Stalinist, Farabundo Marti). Others are VOZ FRONTERIZA (U.C. San Diego), LA VOZ MESTIZA (U.C. Irvine) and LA VOZ BERKELEY referring to the U.S., as AMERIKKKA, celebrating the death of a Border Patrol agent and identifying conservative U.S. representatives as "Nazi Pigs".
TO FOLLOW IS A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF MEChA ACTIONS, STATEMENTS BY THEIR LEADERS AND THE EFFECT OF THEIR PRESENCE ON MANY OF OUR CAMPUSES:
o In 1970, the University of Texas at El Paso MEChA group declared: "We do not seek assimilation; we seek self-preservation of our culture and language."
o The San Diego City College MEChA declared the 5 U.S. southwestern states were no longer part of the U.S., lowered the American flag & raised the Aztlan flag in its place.
o In 1971, U.C. Santa Barbara MEChA was asked to work with campus police to avoid violence. Their reply: "...we view the campus police as an integral part of this whole repressive system...we cannot accept this 'kiss of death'...que viva la revolucion (long live the revolution)!"
o In May 1993, MEChA at UCLA spearheaded the riot that caused $500,000 damage to that campus when they occupied buildings & demanded full department status for Chicano studies.
o MIGUEL PEREZ, Cal State Northridge MEChA:
"The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan". When asked his preference of government, said, "Communism would be closest. Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled ...opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep the power."o PROF. RUDY ACUNA, MEChA advisor, Cal State Northridge, self-described Socialist:
"Chicanos have to get a lot more militant about defending our rights" and promoted violence by his 1993 national telecom to Hispanic students to "TAKE BACK YOUR HISTORY".o MEChA STUDENT, 3/97 Rally, L.A. City Hall:
"When the people in this building don't listen to the demands of our community, it's time to burn it down!"o MEChA STATEWIDE CONFERENCE, 11/96:
1000 students parents were addressed with focus on the fury about PROP 187 & PROP 209. Two Anglo members of the press were forcibly removed as they fear infiltration.DOLORES HUERTA (United Farm Workers): "We need a Chicano Bill of Rights! President Clinton spoke with me face to face and he said he'll do away with the art of the new welfare reform bill that takes away welfare and food stamps from legal immigrants. You students can join us, and we'll train you to be organizers."
RUDY ACUNA: "You are living in Nazi U.S. We can't let them take us to those intellectual ovens."
JUANA MORA Administrator, CSUN: "...now only WHITE students will have access to education."
- MEChA NATIONAL CONFERENCE, MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, 4/97:
- Featured huge drawing of EMILIANO ZAPATA holding rifle on knees as face page of their program
- "CH" was replaced by "X", i.e., Chicano now "XICANO", MEChA now "MEXA", etc.
- Their Program statements included:
"National revolution is the theme for this year's MEXA conference"
"Throughout Latin America, the university provides the embryo of resistance...the PLO found birth in the university...Cuban revolutionaries as well"
"We of the university are becoming a privileged few - we become part of the machinery that enslaves our nation. We must reject this and become a nation within a nation with a national plan of action as new soldiers in our struggle for national independence, and an emerging XICANO nation."
"This is revolution at its basic level, moving the people toward more confrontational politics."
"Only we can move our families and our communities toward becoming a united people again in building an XICANO nation. We are NOT American or Mexican...we are XICANO, and we must find own way to form a new visible, viable Indian nation within a nation."
"We should do everything we can to promote the Spanish language as a means of solidarity among XICANOS."
o MEChA LITERATURE, U.C. IRVINE: Referencing AZTLAN (U.S. Southwest) -
"This land is ours and always will be."
Code for: I take the easy way out.
Er.. um... except for not voting in four of the last five statewide elections.
Nothing like starting the engines right before the race.
We'll see . . .
As if McClintock supporters are really dumb as rocks? Of course if they don't agree with you...... Talk about the height of arrogance and self deception.
McClintock doesn't want your vote. His supporters don't want anyone who doesn't march in lockstep with their leader. That's why they insult you so much, it's to make sure you stay away. Far away.
Yes I know - Arnold supporters never defend or elevate their leader. We never seen insults toward McClintock supporters from the Arnold side. And of course McClintock supporters are not unlike the Germans following Hitler lockstep down the street. Could never have anything to do with honestly agreeing with Tom.
The anti-Arnold people are starting to sound quite evil, like Democrats
Possibly worse than Democrats - all they want to do is destroy the nation. Maybe we should shoot all McClintock supporters? Evil? give me a break. Maybe California would be better off with more Charlie Manson and less McClintock supporters?
This is what make FreeRepublic look amateurish and idiotic.
One FReeper said that Social Conservatives are worse than Liberals and should dry up and blow away. Great men like Reagan and Bush are worse than Hillary?
I see shrills on both sides and each side forgives the shrills on their side while condemning the shrills on the other side. Talk about amateurish and idiotic.
No - I'm yo daddy!
You said it.
... This is what make FreeRepublic look amateurish and idiotic.
No, this is what makes you look intolerant and despicible.
...The anti-Arnold people are starting to sound quite evil, like Democrats.
Exactly! The simile is perfect. I'm the one you're talking about, despising your brand of social conservatives. I despise you for what you are doing to our party, our cause and our country. You're intolerant and narrowminded, hateful and vindictive, rude and intemperate, hostile yet cowardly. Bah!
